2nd Spell [video]

[Today, we see Raven sitting in the shade somewhere outside, doing some morning meditation. Eyes closed, legs crossed, arms to her sides and... levitating. In any case, she keeps repeating the same words over and over again:

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos"

The mantra continues to be recited without interruption until some visitors make their way to her.

Opening her eyes, she now notices that she's literally surrounded by Bellosom. While the creatures are certainly happy to see her, Raven doesn't seem to be nearly as excited.]

... Go away.

[Not excited in the slightest as she attempts to go back to her meditation. However, the Bellosom have other plans as several of them begin to chant their own name, much to Raven's growing irritation.]

Bellosom! Bellosom! Bellosom!

I said-

[Nope, sorry Raven, the Bellosom are currently busy dancing and trying to bring some cheer into your life! To which she responds with being visibly angry and...

... Is that a black aura surrounding her entire body? Sure does look like it.]

You're probably gonna need a more private place. You go outside, it's pretty much a big neon sign saying "come bother me."

I guess the alternative is, uh, get better at meditation and tune the stuff out.

Fionna was doing her usual flitting around the garden. She did have some ideas in her mind about what she had planned for Amimiya and what kind of fighting she would be doing, when she saw a girl looking...all covered in black.

"Uh, hey, are you all right?"

[loveswaffles]

"Fine, just fine."

Only not, especially with the Bellosom still dancing, chanting and generally... there.

"You sure? You looked kinda ticked...and what's with these guys anyway?"

[loveswaffles]

"I don't know. They keep saying the same thing over and over again."

They're cute. Don't scare them too badly.

'Cute' isn't exactly the word I was going for.

They can be annoying and still be cute.

They could've picked someone else to annoy.

Ah, are you a mage of some kind?

The creatures are rather effusive, aren't they? [Kuja likes them, in her way. So much less tiresome than the majority, like her monsters back home.] They are easy enough to avoid, if one utilizes simple common sense.

[She waves a hand.] I'm always willing to offer my counsel.

You should be mindful of the fact that they can attack, if they feel threatened.

What are they gonna do, throw flowers at me?

[Reimu happened to be flying nearby when she spots the commotion. She flies down and fires a few Danamku near by to try and scare them off]

Go on, get out of here!

[loveswaffles]

Uh... thanks?

[that's one way to get them to leave her alone.]

[Reimu lands while firing some more Danmaku at the fleeing Bellosoms.]

These creatures are like fairies. You got to show them you are stronger then they are or else they will walk all over you.

[Hopefully one more distraction won't be too much. Yumeko just happens to be passing by, and Raven is the first person she's seen since waking up. Even though she has changed back into her usual uniform, that she's new shows easily enough; in her arms, she is cradling the shift she woke up in, along with a number of scrolls she received from the cats.]

Excuse me.

[She had meant to ask if the information delivered by the cats is correct, but the chanting creatures circling around Raven catch her eye. What strange... Flora? Fauna? She has no idea.]

What are those?

[loveswaffles]

You mean besides annoying? I have no idea.

[Seriously, Raven has no clue as to what they are, why they're there and why keep saying that name.]

[swordthrowing]

I can see that much, at least.

[They are making quite a racket, aren't they? Yumeko's brow furrows slightly. She shifts her makeshift bundle under her arm, stepping closer and moving to seize one of them under its nubby little arms and lift it like one might an unruly child.]

W-Wait! Wait!

[Chihiro appears on the other end of the video feed, eyes wide and shaking her head vigorously. She might not know what that black aura means, but she can still know that it's a bit thing.]

Th-They don't want to hurt you! They're nice, I promise!

[loveswaffles]

Being "nice" doesn't mean they're going to stay quiet.

It also doesn't mean that you should blow them up!

You should just ask them nicely to leave you alone! Not boss them around! That'll never do anything!
