I don't really understand much about electricity but if you can use lightning for it, it shouldn't be that hard to make a proper power source. All you'd need is...hmm....

What if I used a crystal? But that would need recharging after a while. If it had a soul, maybe, but no one would want to give one up. Unless there was a volunteer...

Anyone have any ideas? Throw them at me and it could help me push ahead!

Hooboy. Okay, how do I put... ah.

What do soldiers on your world use for weapons? Armor? How do people travel, how do they cope with sickness? How do they store food? That'll give me a handle on how to describe batteries.

Swords and shields, mostly. Some wear steel or iron armor but if they're rich enough, they can afford mythril or something that is enchanted.

If you're sick, you're sick, I suppose. I don't really know about food since I just buy it.

Do they practice alchemy on your world? That spun off into chemistry on mine. We figured out that certain substances could hold an electrical charge - those batteries I keep going on about.
