11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.

[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

[Akiha glares at the hand, but doesn't move away from it. She's just irritated she was touched without being asked if it was okay.

And the water is repelled for a whole two seconds before it goes back to normal. Damn wildcards.]

Apparently not long.

[Urd, ask for permission? She doesn't know the word. Urd just frowns and steps back.]

The magic here is quite different from back home. I Have been trying to study it, find out the root behind it, but I am not far yet.

I'm not versed in anything more than the most basic of magecraft knowledge. This makes little sense to me other than what magi from my world would call a reality marble. I don't understand the concept enough to properly explain it, nor is my friend here any longer. She could have explained it.

I see. Well, it is a shame she is not here anymore then. I do hope she is back home safely.

A reality marble huh? For me it looks like a very complex weather creating algorithm, but the equations and symbols are foreign to me.

...I was referring to the Garden as a whole. This rain cloud is more like a curse than anything else.

Ah. I apologize. Still, a curse I would be able to counter with an anti curse formula, but like I said, not knowing how the curse originally works will make countering it very difficult.

I believe this this garden as a whole is in it's own pocket dimension, and the Queen along with her servants are pretty much God of it.

That's pretty much what my understanding of a reality marble is. In the most basic way.

To try to explain it more would be too long and confuse you. Knowing that much is enough.

A God is the most powerful in their own world. The Queen, or someone controlling her, used their power to rip us from our own universes, most likely when we were vulnerable, like when we are asleep or knocked out. If she tried when I was awake I'm sure I could have made a counter spell. But alas, I was not able to.

I will admit though, there are much worse places to be trapped.

[Akiha stares at Urd bladly. If she was less refined, she's reply to that assessment of the Garden with 'duh'. But she's not, so she just looks unimpressed.]

I'm sure there are. There are also better places to be. Like home.

Well of course, but we are not home. And we might as well enjoy ourselves.

[Urd just remembered where she heard Akiha's name before.]

Say, you wouldn't happen to know a android named Lambda would you?

[That gets a scowl from Akiha.]

Cyborg. She's not an android, so kindly do not call her that.

Hey, I meant no insult when I called her that. I was just asking if you knew her.

There is a distinct difference between androids and cyborgs. Androids are automatons that just look human where as cyborgs are living beings that are physically dependent upon mechanical augmentations.

By calling her an android, you're calling her a robot. She's not a robot; she's a lady. I will forgive your inadvertent offense as long as you don't call her that again.

And yes, I do know her. She lives in my mansion.

Oh, I know she is more then just a normal robot. She's more then a normal cyborg as well.

I talked to her the other day. She really looks up to you.

She is not a robot. At all. Period. And I told you, she is a lady. I've spent a lot of time trying to get her to understand that she isn't just some sick scientist's weapon.

[So of course, Lambda looks up to her.]

I can see how you might have had some difficulty. While she is clearly human, she still thinks like a machine... in some areas.

However, it does seem she is starting to realize that their is more to life then logic and system parameters. She came to me trying to learn how to have a normal conversation.

[Akiha knows Lambda well enough to know she didn't specifically seek Urd out. More that she happened to pass by where Urd was and decided to attempt socializing more. Since, Akiha kind of told her to...]

The scientists that made her altered her memories and erased everything from before about six months or so ago for her. [This fact clearly angers Akiha.] She doesn't remember being fully human, so it's been a task. But she is learning and making progress.

Though I'm not entirely sure you're the best example of how to have a normal conversation.

I see. I am sorry to hear that. I know my younger sister would be very willing to give those scientists a good lesson. She is the best inventor and robot maker I know, but don't tell her that. All her work has just as much life and soul as Lambda does.

[Urd frowns at that last comment]

Something about me not normal enough for you?

So now you believe me.

Did I not say that I don't doubt in your world, that you are one and that you believe you are? Here, I don't think you are and I certainly don't see you are anything special.

That doesn't change the fact that because you believe you are one that you act as if you are. That does not make for good common conversation.

Arriving here doesn't make me any less of a Goddess you know. Just like arriving here doesn't make you any different. Perhaps I should show you just how special I can be later.

Do you think I just sat up in heaven, and watched the mortal's down below as ants? I may be a Goddess, but I make it a point to know as much of human culture as possible, and experience it myself. I am not naive in the ways of social interaction.

That doesn't change the fact that I don't approve of you.
