11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.

[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

I'm definitely on the low end of "able to force people" here, yeah. [She mentally goes over the population she's seen.] Probably the second-weakest person here, really.

At least you'd have an excuse for being wet.

I don't suppose there's anything else I could offer you? I'm available as rain-free courier if you need it.

Sure thing. I'll pack it in a waterproof container for you.

Uh... what kind?

Be right back, then.

[Fortunately for Akiha, Beaumont is well-stocked with tea. Jessica is no master at brewing, but she's competent enough. She returns bearing a rather large plastic mug with a cap and a covered straw. There's a NASA logo on the side.]

...not really the, uh, classiest presentation ever, but hopefully it'll work. I calculated equivalent amounts for the cream and sugar, so the proportions on that should be decent.

Glad to hear it. I mean, I guess there's probably some measurable difference in how the stuff, uh, breathes or something, but desperate times, right?

[She settles down on a seat of rubble as well.]

How long have you been stuck with this?

Hm. Well, in all likelihood it'll at least clear up before night. I've seen this stuff hang around for a day or so, but usually it's just a few hours.

So probably you won't have the wrong kind of waterbed.

In the case that you have that issue... I dunno, maybe you could do camping? Like... use the fortress or the reconstruction of the ruins, at least, and maybe bring some dirt and make an air mattress?

Well, it's not exactly fun, but it's better than, say, getting kidnapped by skeletons and kept on the hard floor with a heavy weight chained to you.

Also one's more obviously temporary and can involve preparations. And no immediate threat to life and limb. Also no cooking skeletons.

People who don't have taste buds shouldn't cook.

Hah, no, though I did end up kind of taking over the kitchen anyway. [A flash of sheepish grin] They needed direction.

[Shrug] It worked.

Not sure "mindless" is accurate... they seemed to have some kind of intelligence. Just... I guess they could tell I knew what I was doing. Or else they didn't care.
