Dawn 2 | Questions [Video/Action]

[The Itsuki appearing on the Vine now looks much more sure of herself than she did a week ago, which is a plus; however, she still looks a bit... confused? After a moment, she seems to realize the mirror is recording her.]

So... I know I've been here for a little while now, but I'm still not a hundred percent sure what's going on. I get the whole thing with the Gardens, and us being here, and the rules, and all that. It's beautiful here, to be sure, and everything's provided for as needed. But it seems... off. Maybe part of that is just that I haven't really taken much time to meet people; I admit that my first instinct when I wake up in an unfamiliar land is not to befriend the locals, which is something I'd be happy to fix if anyone is willing to spare some time. I'm fairly certain my friends from my own home - Tsubomi, Erika, and Yuri - aren't here. Making proper friends was never my strong suit back home, so... [The girl shrugs.]

And all that stuff before, with the pirate ship in the sky, and the hostages... I think I came in directly in the middle of something, and I never really asked what was going on with all that. Is anyone willing to explain? That seemed pretty major, but I didn't want to try and help without knowing the score, and it never really seemed like a good time to stop someone and ask about the growing battle in the airspace above me.

[Itsuki pauses for a moment before she frowns a bit.] Sorry that I'm going on so long, but... I guess I'm just anxious. I feel like something's going to happen, and I don't know what it is. I don't mind adapting, I just don't know what I'm adapting to yet, and that unnerves me. I'm going to walk around, see if I come across anyone. Maybe that'll help me figure out what I'm doing here, too.

[She spends a moment looking at the mirror in puzzlement before she makes a quick gesture, and the video ends. And sure enough, just after that, Itsuki can be found roaming the Gardens, looking around as if to take in all the buildings and locales. She looks a bit on edge, but otherwise open. Feel free to interrupt her exploration, though; it's a safe assumption she won't mind.]

Well, from what I know, some people who went to a party held by a pirate ended up being kidnapped by a pirate. That's all I really know.

And yeah, something's bound to happen when the next month rolls around, it always does.

[This response comes from a blue haired, blue eyed girl who looks obviously annoyed by the pirate business.]

...Pirates. Well, that explains the ship, I guess, but... it seems a little hard to believe. Then again, I'm here, so... maybe I just need to get used to things being a little different.

If this kind of thing happens every month, though, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up. I guess we'll have to see.

[Itsuki takes a stab in the dark.] Did something happen to you with those pirates? You don't seem too pleased at my bringing it up.

Well, things like THIS don't happen every month, but something does. It's usually not as... big, I guess that's how it is.

And it's not really me, just... I didn't really trust the party thing before, and I was right. But I don't think many people thought like I did.

I'll keep it in mind, then. Everything going to the dogs once a month is... going to be a problem, I suspect. I'll hope for the best, I guess.

Paranoia is a harsh mistress. If you're wrong, everyone thinks you're overreacting. If you're right, everyone just gets annoyed when you remind them that you already had an idea what would happen. You seem to have gotten out of those events alright, at least.

Well, I think the Queen and the Pirate Queen were mad at each other, so the pirates kidnapped some people...we were fighting to get them back. I'm not sure what else to explain, but I can try to answer some questions?

That tells me a little bit, at least... I just wanted an overview of what happened. Coming in right in the middle of something like that makes it hard to figure out what's going on.

...Aside from that, I just don't have a feeling like I belong here just yet. I don't know anyone or anything in the Gardens, and that makes me feel like a bit of an outcast. Not that I can go anywhere else, but... once I have some ties, I think I'll be okay.

Well...ties? You mean like friends?

[then tentatively, she adds:]

That's what I meant, yes. It's hard to feel like you fit in if you don't know anyone.

[Itsuki smiles at the hooded girl.] I'm Itsuki. Itsuki Myoudouin. Nice to meet you, Xion.

[Youmu sighs and shakes her head.]

All this pirate stuff is really confusing, but I'm glad to hear it's over.

No, it seems to be somewhat common. People seem to arrive... if not all the time, at least somewhat often. But yes, I'm new here too. I'm Itsuki Myoudouin.

I'm learning about the whole pirate fiasco as time passes, but... I'm not sure why you'd go to a party run by pirates in the first place. It just seems like a bad idea.

There was a party? Run by pirates? ...Well, where I'm from, the best parties are thrown by horned demons, so I supposed I can't be too surprised people would fall for that.

Horned demons, you say...? Well, guess other places have different things, but that one sounds pretty weird. Definitely suspicious, even. Nice to meet you, by the way, Youmu.

[ The inn has always been a quiet place. The Japanese style building with its attached onsen is a place for relaxation and recovery, for comrades and companions alike.

So what is what godawful racket? For the untrained ear, it sounds like someone trying to break a wall with a sledgehammer, but at a scale tenfold the expect volume. It's echoing from around the corner, at a place on the side opposite from the hot springs. There's no real path back there, but there's also nothing blocking the way, so a curious passerby could easily head back that way to where there appears to be a rather large hole in the ground... ]

[Itsuki's headed past the inn when she heard the huge noise.] I don't like the sound of that...! [With a quick reach into her pocket to check for something, she runs along the semi-obvious path and emerges to find the hole.]

What happened here?

[ The hole itself is unremarkable, if the fact that it's about a dozen meters in diameter and nearly two meters deep and cut out in a perfect circle doesn't stand out...

Oh, and the fact that in the bottom, on top of a large hunk of rock, a girl in shorts and a tank top is pounding on the hard surface with a huge metal fist. The threaded bands on the wrist are spinning with incredible speed and the sound it makes as it cuts the air is almost like a heavy drill. With each impact, entire CHUNKS of the rock spray out and she'll only stop if she is either interrupted, or the entire obstruction is pulverized. ]

[Itsuki is awestruck; just because you're a magical girl doesn't mean seeing similar feats is any less impressive. She'll just keep standing there watching, having no words to describe (or contest) what she's looking at.]

Well, you're certainly enthusiastic, at least. And I won't complain about having more friends. It's something I was sorely lacking before, and I'm hoping it'll make me more comfortable away from home.

Well... what else would I be? I'm in an unknown world, with a number of unknown women of varying ages and demonstrated combat ability, and apparently I can't leave. This isn't exactly an optimal situation. Until demonstrated otherwise, this entire world is liable to be my end.

[Chihiro is sitting on a bench under the vines, staring up into the display. She smiles tentatively at Itsuki.] I was thinking like that, too - it seems like something weird's happened, but I don't know what it is. And besides, they say there are some dangerous places here. Maybe we can help each other.

Certainly, I don't mind. It's not like I know where anything is, though, so we'll have to figure out where to meet up somehow. But... that makes sense. If we explore, maybe we'll learn something about all this.

...I haven't heard much about dangerous places, though. We'd best be careful if we go out there.

We'll be careful. If we see a wolf, we'll run away. [She wouldn't run away if it was just her, mind, but if she's there with someone else, getting them away of course becomes the top priority.] Miss Alessa told me that wolves are in the dangerous places, so if we see one, that's probably where we are.

[...hm...Chihiro casts around, before finally spotting the building behind her and pointing to it.] What about the bath house? Do you know where that is? Or maybe the clock tower!
