[video] The wrong book

[The video feed comes to life, showing a young Japanese school girl with bright yellow hair. She is wearing what looks like a normal school uniform with a big white fluffy sweater over it. There are tears in her eyes and she looks scared out of her wits.]

H-Hello? M-My name is K-Kise Yayoi. Please, w-where am I? [she holds up a scroll] A-A cat gave me this a-and said I-I could use this weird vine...can someone t-tell me how I-[her eyes widen with horror] Did I do the book thing wrong? [more tears fall from her eyes]

I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I-I know th-the fairy said I-I needed to be careful but I wasn't even thinking of a-a-[she is cut off as she cries].

I don't like scary things. But it's OK if the hero can kill the monsters.

O-Oh...hehe...well, I suppose you're right. My friends and I fight scary monsters all the time! Do you fight monsters too?

[You, the scared girl? Weird. But cool. There's a pause before the next words appear.]

I couldn't fight them. I was going to make it all go away, but Daddy beat them.

Yeah! I-I mean, I was r-really scared at first...I still get scared sometimes. But my friends are always there with me, so it's okay.

Make them all go away? You can do that?

I think it's wonderful your daddy beat them for you. He must really love you. I can't really remember too much of my dad. Though I would have to hide my new powers from him.

I could, but it would make everything go away, even the good things. I didn't want to, but God was going to come and make things worse.

It's complicated. I didn't have a daddy until I was Cheryl. He was the best daddy and I love him and I miss him.

O-Oh...that's...not so good. I wouldn't mind if the bad things were gone, but not if the good went with them. God makes things worse? Th-That's definitely not good!

Until you were Cheryl? That does sound complicated...but I have no doubt he loved you. After all, that's what daddies do. I miss my daddy too.


[She was right, the people here are so nice. It's a little scary, but I think I don't mind this place.]

I had to be two people, but then she came back to Silent Hill and I was one person again.

You had to be two people? That must have been so confusing for you. Silent Hill? That s-sounds a little scary.

It's okay...he died when I was really little. But I'm not too sad. I still have fond memories of him, so it doesn't hurt as much to think about him. My friends helped me to remember that.

It wasn't until she came back. Now she's in me and it's hard to remember sometimes.

Silent Hill is where I lived. It was pretty but then it got scary when God was coming. That was why I was trying to make it go away. If God came, the whole world would turn scary.

God won't come here so it will be OK.

It's good to remember people you love that had to go away. I lost Cheryl lost her mommy.

I-I didn't think God could be so scary. I hope Pierrot isn't a god! I don't think h-he is. Candy would have said if he was. But it's good that it won't come here. The world needs to have more happy things.

She lost her mommy? Oh that's terrible, but at least you both remember her. Cheryl's inside of you? Does that mean you're the same person? Or is she like a separate person? It must be confusing sometimes.

I don't think there is a god called Pierrot. I don't know all their names, though. Does Pierrot want to open the door to Paradise?

We are the same person and different people. It is hard to describe.

How do you fight monsters? Do you have a gun? Or magic?

Oooh. That is strange...

Paradise? Oh no, definitely not! I don't think he's a god, but he's definitely a bad guy! He wants to give the whole universe the Worst Ending! H-He's really bad.

Oh! Well, it's supposed to be a secret, but I don't think this counts exactly, since this isn't home. My friends and I...we're superheroes! It's so amazing! We're called Pretty Cure! Candy says we're legendary warriors. We want to stop Pierrot from waking up and giving the universe the Worst Ending. H-His minions send these awful creatures at us to try and hurt people.

God wants to open the way to Paradise, but only her faithful will go. Everyone else will be punished. I don't think that is the Worst Ending, but it is a Bad Ending.

Pierrot sounds very scary! I'm glad you can stop him.

I didn't think superheroes were real. Nobody like that came when God was coming.

That doesn't sound good at all...I'm glad you and your daddy were able to stop her. She definitely sounds scary!

We're definitely trying, and I think we can win! After all we can't let the world have a bad ending.

You don't have any superheroes? I wish I had heard of Silent Hill before...I know me and my friends could have helped. But at least God's not coming anymore, thanks to you and your daddy.

It was Daddy really. Mommy stopped me before I could finish the Seal.

I'm glad I'm here now. It's like Paradise for everybody. Except boys, but maybe they get their own Paradise.

So there are no boys here? That's strange, but it's okay I suppose. There are some really nice people here. It does look very pretty, like something out of a fairy tale.
