[To say Sapphire was displeased at finding herself here would be an understatement. Was this a kidnapping? Some kind of sorcery? Either way, she couldn't be certain that she wasn't in danger, so she has her sword drawn as she explores the Gardens, and the Vine has brought forth a mirror to record each and every one of her words and movements.]

To whoever is in charge, I ask that you show yourself! If this is simply a misunderstanding, then I believe we can resolve things peacefully, but if this is a kidnapping… that is unforgivable!

[She tightens her grip on her sword, and she bits her lower lip before speaking again, this time in a whisper.]

What sort of place is this? It seems so eerily calm…

Yes, I'm quite fond of birds as well. Are all the animals here trained?

Trained? I like to believe they are that way because they are magical. [ Totally reasonable logic. ]

[Her eyes narrow at the mention of it.]

That would be difficult for any of us to do. It suits me just fine, since I want to learn magic myself, eventually!

A lamia, true, and a youkai! But they were both friendly.

Friendly.... This place truly is different from what I'm familiar with.

It is very different for me, too, but in a good way!

Japan, like some others who are here. No place magical at all.

Japan? I've not heard of it.

I have never heard of Silver-land, either. Is it a beautiful kingdom? [ Since most were, in the types of stories she fancied. ]

Mm, I certainly think so, although I'm not entirely impartial. It's my home, after all.

I would not blame you for thinking highly of your home at all. I feel the same way. [ And some days she misses being "awake" more than others. ]

By the way, do you enjoy tea and snacks? [ This has a point! ]

Hm? I do, but what does that have to do with anything?

Nothing, directly! I just thought that if we were to talk more about our backgrounds, we could do so over tea and not simply over the vine. [ Logical and practical, yes? Yes. ]

[She lets out a quiet chuckle.]

Yes, that would be a fine idea. I must admit, I'm not quite used to this "Vine" yet.

It is not so difficult. Like the animals, I have found it to be quite friendly! [ To her at least. Others... well, it depends. ] If there is anything else you need, please let me know.
