[Ky smiles at the Vine, polite and distant.]

Is there anything I can do around here that would be productive?

Besides petting the cats or building simply for the sake of building...

[As a police officer she was used to being far more busy. Not that she wished for more crime, but she did need a better way to occupy herself than just going through the library. The contents of which were...questionable. She'd gone exploring, but in the places where she felt she might learn something from her senses tingled with the threat of unnecessary danger. That hadn't stopped her, but she wanted something more.]

Alternatively, does anyone wish to talk about the world they come from? Or what they do there?

[As a temporary distraction it might mean something, and perhaps she would learn a useful fact or two.]

[The smile, formal as it had been, drops off of her face, and she ends that message to filter a different one to Dizzy.]

Dizzy. I want to apologize. In person if you're alright with it -- I can meet you somewhere.

... That day when you saved me from myself... When Crow was trying to use me for those horrible ends... My feelings towards you... They began to change.

-Ky studies the edge of the bed. 'Change how?' she wants to ask, but she feels like it should be obvious, that she should know what Dizzy is talking about. She just doesn't, or doesn't realize that she does. The context of confession is certainly weighted, but with many different possible implications. Dizzy's talking about feelings, though, and that does imply a certain thing.

Ky looks back to meet Dizzy's eyes, her lips parted to answer but still no words coming to mind. She hopes that Dizzy knows she can say whatever she wishes to say, still.-

And I want you to know that... whether you are the man I knew back home, or the woman before me now, those feelings... still matter.

-Ky can think of all the things she thinks she should say, the result of everything she knows about Gears, the world, and God. But the truth is that Dizzy has always been outside of that in a way, too pure to be a creature born of sin in the way that other Gears were, too kind surely for God to turn His back on her. Ky has doubted, and she has questioned, and while she hadn't prepared herself for Dizzy to say that she knows there's only one genuine way she can reply.-

Mm... -Dizzy nodded, blinking away some smiling tears.- I'm sorry it took this argument to draw those words from me, finally...

-Ky brought her thumb up to brush the corner of Dizzy's eye, slowly, beaming at her.-

What matters is that we both know, now.

-She guessed, at least, although Ky couldn't say that she knew what it would lead to. It certainly cleared the air nicely from their argument, at least.-

... Yes... -But now the question of 'what happens next?' was stuck in Dizzy's mind. Without even thinking, she leaned into the other's touch, drawing closer.-

-Ky lowered her hand a little to brush Dizzy's jawline, and then she drew her hand back as if burned. (Or as if she knew she was doing something that she shouldn't.-

S-sorry.

A-ah... for what? -She'd been enjoying it.-

I...shouldn't.

-Ky wasn't sure now what she should do, but she had to consider that something about this place, or the gardens, was affecting Dizzy behavior in a way that wasn't typical, and that Ky shouldn't do anything that woudl be taking advantage of that. Not that she doubted what Dizzy said, it was just... This was all very complicated, and Ky didn't really know how to approach it.-

I... don't understand. Did I do something wrong?

No. Of course not. You're perfect.

-It was Ky, who shouldn't be thinking of pressing her lips to Dizzy's, who knew that Dizzy was open and kind to everyone, that even her love didn't mean Ky had the right to even think about anything...like kissing her.-

Then what's wrong? -In Dizzy's mind, it was so much more simple. When two people loved one another, the way she love Ky, they kissed. It was how her Opa and Oma were. It was how the couples in the story books were. So why...-

I shouldn't presume.

-And she shouldn't do anything at all. The couples in stories were just that, those who could commit to each other completely, and Ky didn't know how promises like that between her and Dizzy could...mean as much as they had to, in this place. Even assuming Dizzy wished to make any such promise...-

-A small smile came across Dizzy's lips.-

I wasn't resisting.

-And just like that, she leaned forward, her face drawing close enough to Ky's that she could feel the other's breath. She wanted to show her... show her that this was what she wanted.-

-Ky wasn't strong enough to resist with Dizzy this close, and she moved to close the gap between them. Her lips pressed against Dizzy's for a moment, soft but eager.-

-Much better. Dizzy lifted a hand to brush through Ky's golden hair, gently cradling her as the kiss lingered.-

-Ky rested a hand on Dizzy's shoulders, keeping her close as they kissed. She couldn't help the way that this felt so right, that her body felt like it had electricity racing through her and everywhere she could feel Dizzy was a ground, keeping her from floating away. She drew back, after a moment, for a breath, and she couldn't stop the smile from taking over her face.-

-Dizzy couldn't help a small giggle at the look on Ky's face.-

See? I told you it would be alright...

I...

-Ky shrugged off the thought that just because the world didn't explode or they didn't get immediate consequences didn't mean it was alright, because she was starting to come to the conclusion that it was better not to think about this right now.-

I see.

Mm... I should... I should go start dinner...

But...

-Of course Dizzy probably wanted space, and Ky should give it to her in that case. She hadn't just said anything that made Dizzy feel pressured, had she?-

Of course.

-But Dizzy doesn't pull away.-

So what would you like?

I...can make my own dinner.

-She had been managing on her own, even if she was tempted to take the implicit invitation without questioning it, for the chance to spend more time with Dizzy. Still, she didn't wish to impose.-

I'm offering to make dinner for you, silly.
