Besides petting the cats or building simply for the sake of building...

[As a police officer she was used to being far more busy. Not that she wished for more crime, but she did need a better way to occupy herself than just going through the library. The contents of which were...questionable. She'd gone exploring, but in the places where she felt she might learn something from her senses tingled with the threat of unnecessary danger. That hadn't stopped her, but she wanted something more.]

Alternatively, does anyone wish to talk about the world they come from? Or what they do there?

[As a temporary distraction it might mean something, and perhaps she would learn a useful fact or two.]

I take it that you can't...do that here? The traveling?

I can travel to the Shadow Plane and I can teleport but that's about it.

Do you do those things often?

It's exactly what it sounds like.

And I do do it often.

Does it serve any purpose, or do you simply put yourself in danger like that to no expected result?

It lets me get around faster but it's not dangerous at all.

Of course it is. It's where shadows exist.

And no. I just don't like walking around.

I didn't! Mostly because I didn't try to leave.

They are! It'd be hard to get around if they weren't.

You probably enjoy walking or something.

It serves just fine to get around, at least for small distances, I've found.
