[ The mirror isn't on for even a moment before crying can be heard. It's not coming from the blonde girl with the inordinately large eyebrows, either. No, the sounds are coming from the large egg cradled in her arms, the painted face on its shell drawn to further illustrate its distress. ]

Oh no! What am I going to do? [ The young girl is trying her best to be reassuring and soothing to the little thing, but it will have none of it! This behavior is slowly eating away at Mugi's calm demeanor. ] There, there. No need to cry~. I'm sure we can find your "mama", somehow.

[ She shifts in place, having retrieved her garments moments earlier but not yet changed out of the tell-tale slip given to newcomers in the Gardens.

Mugi is giving the egg her full attention, and has not yet noticed the Vine that was broadcasting the scene. ] This is quite a dilemma... and since when did they make trial babies out to be in this shape?

I dunno. Lots of whining about wanting to go back home more or less. I guess that makes sense if you have someplace decent to return to, though.

[ It's very odd to hear people in her dream using terms like "going home" and such, but she pays it no heed. ] Mm! I could understand that. I would like to share the experience with my friends, too, if I was able to.

I'm kind of unusual, I guess. I don't really have that.

[ What a lonely sentiment. The egg is momentarily forgotten, and she sounds genuinely concerned. ] ...do you not have friends, Sakura-san?

No, I do. They're all here, actually. But I don't really have a home to return to. This place is better than my life ever was.

[ That is better than she expected. Mugi cheered up significantly. ] Ah, that is good! It is better to have friends along with you. I am happy to hear that!

Uh...thanks, I guess. But yeah this place is kinda nice, really. There's plenty to eat, and you can make stuff with the dirt you find in some spots. That stuff can be kinda hard to get, though.

[ Curious. ] "Make stuff with the dirt"... do you mean like a sand castle?

Nah, better than that. It's some kind of magic, you can use it to make anything. My girlfriend built us a house with it.

She did? [ Wait. There it was again, only this time even MORE obvious. Mugi is smiling big. In fact, if one didn't know better, she might even be sparkling a little. ] Ah, that is fantastic news! I am so happy. Might... anyone use this magical dirt?

Yeah, you just have to find it. It's way out in the wild areas outside of the Garden itself, though.

[She's still oblivious to how delighted Mugi is to hear that Kyoko has a girlfriend.]

How exciting! [ Which she's commenting on, it isn't clear. ]

"Wild area"? [ Mugi looks around. ] Is it... dangerous?

Kinda. It's not too bad so long as you can handle walking around in forests and places like that.

That sounds rather nice! But I would need different clothes, I believe. [ She wasn't exactly dressed for spelunking when she went to sleep.

Mugi sheepishly glances down as the egg starts crying again. PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEE. ] I am sorry, but perhaps I could more questions at another time. I really must see what I can do to calm down this egg.

Good luck. Mine shuts up when my girlfriend and I both pay attention to it, apparently.

I-is that so? [ Now she is picturing Kyoko and some mystery girl coddling their own egg and it is quite the cute image! ] I see then. Perhaps I should widen my search.
