[Not even watching the vines twist and twine together, tuning into the new arrival that had already been very much distracted in The Gardens.

She was breathing. Living. Her testing clothes being taken away from her was replaced by a dress, but the metal collar was still wrapped around her neck.

It was all confusing.

She couldn't understand it, sitting there staring at the flowers that she so badly wanted to see all around her with a shocked expression on her face.]

Haine?

[The first word that stumbled from her mouth was barely even audible. Lily stood up, realizing the mirror that had been recording her, her once surprised expression had easily adjusted to a gentle smile.]

Hello? My name is Lily and um...

[She glances back at the flowers.]

This place is really pretty! I also got a letter, but I don't know how to read it... can someone help me?

[German. That explained the blonde hair and blue eyes. Though it didn't escape Akiha that Lily looked a lot like Kris. Just younger. Hmmm.

She looked over at Kris for a moment and then back to Lily.]

Welcome to the Tohno Mansion, Lily. You're newly arrived, yes? Let Kris take you to get washed up, find you some decent clothing [They still had the proper clothing Lambda and Gal had worn when they were turned into children], and you can stay here if you'd like. We have ample room.

[Though Akiho was quite serious and mature, Lily had simply played along with it with her usual bright attitude. There was no need to feel intimidated by someone, especially since they were being so helpful!]

[She steps closer to Akiha.]

[Kris leans over to peer at it too.]

[Akiha reaches out to lightly touch it, looking for any writing on it.]

I've just never seen one on a young lady before. Why do you wear it?

I've had it ever since I can remember. [Which really wasn't much to remember.]

And, um... [Lily's voice suddenly lowers.] "Mother" said it's so I can use my powers... but I don't really know what else it does.

[Kris pats her on the head. She doesn't really get it though.]

[Kris' pat on the head was more than welcomed. In fact, it was somewhat needed for the sudden overwhelm of terrible memories took place in Lily's head.]

I, um... [She bites her bottom lip, the fear of describing the abilities and being seen as a monster settling in. Leaving a lump in her throat, and unable to speak.]

[Kris wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. Whatever it was, Kris knew that she had the same problem when she was younger...which was why she felt so invested already.]

Ssh, ssh, it's fine.

[Now THAT was a familiar look in Lily's eyes. Akiha chose not to push the issue and her own expression softened a bit. Her fingers trailed up from the collar to lightly brush the girl's cheek.]

...you're safe here, Lily. Go ahead and get cleaned up and settled. There will be hot tea waiting when you're done.

[Kris' embrace brought a trembling Lily to quickly bring a hand up and cling desperately onto her sleeve. Fortunately enough, Akiha's touch had brought her back into reality. The memories being pushed into the back of her mind, the young girl smiled.]

O-Okay. [She let go of her tight grip on Kris' sleeve.] Thank you... thank you both very much.

It's okay. Why don't we go upstairs and I'll show you where everything is.

[Akiha nodded encouragingly, picking her book back up.]

Oh, and Kris? Make sure to talk to her about the west wing. [You know, not to go there since that's where Akiha's room is.]
