Hello, everyone--now that things have settled down again, I'd like to extend an invitation. But first...has anyone seen Miss Canada lately? We agreed to do this together, but I haven't been able to get in touch with her.

Some time ago she made an ice skating rink, and it would be nice to all skate together before it gets warm again, don't you think? I've made some refreshments, too.

Oh, it's inside! Miss Canada made a whole building for it. I've never seen anything like it before, but it's very nice.

Well, I went to go gather that magic dirt in case someone couldn't find skates in their size. And when I came back, it was like this. It won't wash out.

Oh. I once ended up with icicles for hair when I got dirt for my fireplace.

...it'll probably go away in a day.

Icicles! [she lets out a startled laugh at the thought, covering her mouth.] That sounds troublesome. This is just the color, so it's all right.

It wasn't funny. It was cold.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh...I was just trying to imagine it.

It was utterly ridiculous. I looked like some kind of ice witch.

It's a good thing it was only temporary. I can't imagine how you would manage sleeping like that!

I wouldn't have been able to. And the length of my hair is very important to me.

Is it part of a custom where you're from?

It's a very old tradition that is barely practiced anymore, but my family has always held tradition as important.
