Hello, everyone--now that things have settled down again, I'd like to extend an invitation. But first...has anyone seen Miss Canada lately? We agreed to do this together, but I haven't been able to get in touch with her.

Some time ago she made an ice skating rink, and it would be nice to all skate together before it gets warm again, don't you think? I've made some refreshments, too.

Oh, you don't know what it is?

When lakes freeze over in the winter, it creates a flat surface. You wear special boots with metal blades on the bottom that let you glide over the ice. It's lots of fun!

-A gasp.- Isn't that exceptionally dangerous? What if the ice is unsound and gives way?!

Oh, don't worry! You only do it once it's been very cold, so the ice is more than a meter thick.

Here, Miss Canada made a building for it, where it's almost like a tray filled with only a little water. So there's no chance of it breaking.

Did you come from a warm climate, maybe? I'm from far up north, so it was just another part of winter activities.

Ivalice is blessed with snow in certain regions as well as blistering summers in others, so the climate is not a matter here.

Ah, so your home is called Ivalice? I come from Callegea. It's big enough to have different regions as well, but I never traveled much until recently.
