Within those Gardens, time stretches out with little to fill it with, in an endless stream of leisure. After all, food gives itself to you almost without asking, and shelter is freely given. Clothes and other things can be fashioned with a simple trip to collect the very earth of Chaos, and far more safely than the usual methods of calling Chaos into shape.

I am lacking in the usual duties that fill my time. No growing seasons to bless with fecundity, as the Gardens almost care for themselves. No births to bless with prosperous growth in life, and likewise none coming before me to ask for a gift of fertility. Chaos' touch is so light that little call exists to manage it. A mere facade of a temple of Zephyr stands here, its ceremonial halls empty.

But there is one duty that a place still exists for. And that is to bring merriment. So if any occasion arises where you could use my aid on such matters, I will gladly extend it. If you wish to have delicacies, intoxicants, and other things that bring joy upon their imbibement, I can provide. And I will give other kinds of aid as well. I have a great deal of experience with celebrations, festivities, and other such matters.

And, after all, there are many kinds of pleasure to be found.

Balthamos does appreciate a good festival. He is our patron of music, the arts, and fertility. The humans still seem to like him for that, at least.

Ah, yes, there is something about such halls. Their walls resonate spiritually, it is unmistakable.

Simplicity is needed to explain we of the celestial existence. Us and are affairs are far more complicated that those who follow should ever need to concern themselves with.

Spirituality is something this place is severely lacking in.

That would depend on the affair. I have seen mortals waste their lives trying to understand every insignificant detail of things that will never directly affect them.

Obviously, if a god where to get mortals involved in something they should not be, then it is very much their concern.

Ah, yes, I know very well that the gods often concern themselves with things far from the lives of mortals. But I have also seem mortals surprise gods on rare occasions. In the end, it is the results of their lives that will be the judgment for them.

Mortals are interesting and versatile creatures, if nothing else. Working so hard to accomplish what they can in their short lives, I would expect nothing less.

Indeed, I am offering catering. If it comes from plants, I can provide easily. I am afraid the meat selection shall be limited to what I can find at the Arena. They do have an impressive selection including many meats I have never before tasted. But still, there are things from home that I miss.

I suppose it would be difficult for a child of Haven to understand. Food is abundant both in quantity and variety. One cannot always eat the familiar things.

Most of the meat we eat back home is domesticated, and you can only domesticate so many animals at once.

Now, vegetables, even if I don't like 'em as much, I'll try just about any of them once.

Ah, yes, I have heard of great herds of tame creatures in other lands. In the land where I have set my abode, that is a more difficult matter. Tame things do not last long.

Creatures you can keep within your own house. And creatures entirely unpalatable without special preparation.

I'd rather just eat the normally palatable creatures for the most part.
