Summary: Totally beat up, Fionna does her best to maintain.

Her leg was burning, her neck still had blood flowing freely, and she could barely stand. But she wouldn't fall, she would NOT fall right now. She had been beaten, beaten and cut and hurt harder than she had ever been before, and Akiha had been right: she underestimated her.

And she'd been called weak, little girl, pathetic.

Useless.

"NO!" Fionna said aloud, wincing. "Not doing it man! I am a hero! I just...need to get my stuff taking care of. I just...need to get better."

Is the little princess ok? You can quit anytime, just wear a dress and work the court as a maid.

"I'm an adventurer! I'm not going anywhere!"

Fionna didn't quite agree...at the moment. She certainly didn't intend on staying weak, as it seemed she needed to kick it up a notch.

"She keeps saying it, though. Am I really weak compared to you guys?"

"I don't know," she said honestly. "I've not really seen you in action."

Fionna chuckled. "Well, when I'm not beaten the crud out of, I promise to show you, ok? I'd like to see what you can do too."

"It's a date," she said, echoing back to their first conversation. "Now, get some sleep, alright?"

She nodded, smiling up at her housemate, then promptly hit the pillow, snoring lightly.

As soon as she was sure Fionna was asleep, Amamiya stood up, and stepped across the apartment to where the Vine was helpfully waiting. She called it to action with a snap of her fingers; She had business to attend to.
