6th Inversion [Vine - Text/Accidental Video]

[The Vine unfurls to show the following letter:



A minute or so after the letter is sent, the mirror opens to show Akiha's bedroom. The fireplace is roaring and Akiha is sitting on the floor before it. Her knees are pulled up and she has her face buried in her arms, black hair pulled back in a ponytail. If one looks closely, her shoulder's shake every now and then.

Clearly, she's oblivious to the mirror's activation, but the Vine and Akiha never did get along...]

[ Subaru nods. ] Of course. You helped me and Mach Caliber out. Though even if you hadn't, I'd still want to do something.

...I feel pretty bad that I don't even know what happened.

[Akiha shakes her head.]

Well. I hope no one would gossip about it. [ And she looks very serious about this, because if Subaru promises not to pry, then she won't. ] Whatever happened, just tell me that you're not going through it alone.

[ritsu_kouyou]

...Kris is with me. [Which she is both grateful for and annoyed by - both emotions fairly clear on her face and tone of voice.]

[ She smiles knowingly. That's a familiar expression, though normally it's one made ABOUT her not AT her. ] That's good. Tell her thank you for me, if it's not too much trouble? You were both looking out for me, and even though nothing came of the investigation, I still know to be more careful in the future.

I'll try to remember, but you should probably tell her yourself.

I'll do that, too. We both will.

[ Eheh. Subaru scratches at her head and breathes deeply. ] It's good to be back. Trust me on that. I didn't go far, physically, but it's not something I want to repeat.

[ritsu_kouyou]

Good.

[Her brow furrows.]

...can you cook, by chance?

[ Is the way her eyes light up enough of an answer? Plus there was all the cooking she did, with help, at New Year's. ] I can! Is there something you wanted?

Kohaku is still recovering in the Clinic and I've, um, driven away Gal with... what happened. I tried... to cook this morning and ended up with gross egg mush.

Could I find a way to entice you to help out a few days a week? Anything you want that I can provide...

[ Subaru nods, filing away what Akiha said about the other women for later. ] I'd be glad to. I enjoy cooking for others!


...eheh, though it stems from the habit of making large portions that I can't always finish on my own.

I could stop by in the mornings after my jogging with Katina. No reward needed!

I'm positive. [ Subaru doesn't make offers she won't follow through on. Ever. ] I can even show you how I do it, since nothing I make is really all that complicated. I'm sure you'd be able to pick up on it in no-time!

[Akiha learn to cook? SHOCKING.]
