[shrugs] Unfortunately, it is difficult to explain, and even more difficult for people I don't know to comprehend. My colleagues and I represent the countries of the world. We grow weary when our economy is bad, we celebrate when we win wars. But mostly, we live to protect our people.

[sighs... and then tries to give Subaru a comforting look. England knows it's not her fault] Well, yes. Most of the time, it is. But it can also be very rewarding.

Hm? Well, yes... [a slight pause, and then she smiles fondly, as though in remembrance, eyes closed] I enjoy seeing my people and feeling their loyalty. When a person truly loves their country, it is truly one of the best feelings. [she opens her eyes once more] And that is another reason I need to get back home. For all the people who need me.

Then we definitely will! [ Suddenly she's a little fired up. It's one thing to be stuck here when one has friends, family, and comrades waiting for them back home, or a mission to complete.

But in England's case, it's so, so much more than that. ]

I'm definitely going to try harder to find a way out. The barrier is strong, but everything has a weakness. [ Said with an upward tilt of her head. The sky thwarted her once before, and Vita isn't around to offer extra power, but she is determined to find a way through ]

[Subaru had certainly cheered her up, and just gave England the boost she needed to try harder, as well]

I've been studying the Queen's magic. It's still a mystery, but I know a few spells of my own. [wink]

[ ...well, okay, if the whole "avatar" thing worked the way she thought, then that wasn't so improbable. ] I don't know enough about the system she uses, so I didn't try to break anything down. My comrades back home are more of the type to be able to do that, anyhow. I'm just a combat and rescue specialist.

I wouldn't say I'm a mage. I just have been studying magic since I was born hundreds of years ago. I'm hoping I can find a way to break through the Queen's spells and free everyone. Several of my colleagues have also been transported here, and that worries me about the state of the world back home.

Aheh, well that's just what we always call anyone with that kind of skill. [ Hopefully that wasn't seen as offensive. It's not like she called her a "witch"! ]

I have friends who were here before from, from my world, but... everyone's gone except Vivio. [ Which should not make her sound as rueful as it does. ] If there's anything I can do to help, though, I want to try!

Ah, I'd love as much help as I can get. Gathering whatever information on the Queen would be beneficial and most appreciated. It would be nice to have eyes everywhere...

[ Nodding. ] You can count on me for that much. I think I've been here long enough to tell when things are really out of the ordinary. [ Or so she'd like to think. At least she can say she's seen just about all parts of the Gardens, and had a little experience outside that to back up her claim. ] I've never talked to her, though I did get this one card...

[ She digs around a moment away from the mirror and comes up with an invitation to some ball in a week's time, to ring in the New Year. ]
