Video

[ Katina opens up a video feed in front of her finished mech, little more than a statue right now, but at least a pretty one, and one that COULD be made functional if she figures out how. ]

Hey! I know there are guns here, and that some of them even work, but I know I can't rely on just that. I'd just beat the shit out of anything I couldn't shoot, but joint locks aren't gonna work too well on a snake person, so I need a little help. I heard that there's a 'Sephiroth' here who could teach me how to use a sword, but if anyone wants to teach me how to use a spear or an axe or a fuckin' monk's spade, I'm up for it.

[ She huffs and crosses her arms. ]

And what was up with everyone for a while there? I was working like a woman possessed, and Subaru, I know you're not that much of a flirt. Is this kinda BS normal here?

Hey, if you can make something that complicated-- [a gesture at the giant robot in question] then this should be a piece of cake.

[she draws the knife from her belt, displaying the smooth stone on the pommel for a moment.]

This's a blastia. It's got a formula inscribed in it that channels aer and shapes it for your artes. Of course, if ya don't have aer where you come from...I can see how that would be tricky.

[she shrugs.]

You've got a point there. It's taken mages a long time to uncover what they know--hard to imagine how long it took the previous civilization to come up with it all from scratch.

Ahh, but you don't want a history lesson--you're a woman of action, aren't ya?

[in a smooth, practiced movement, she draws a second weapon from her belt where it was concealed under her jacket. It resembles a katar, but a closer look reveals that shape is formed by folding up a larger weapon at specific joints. She demonstrates its full form, a bow, extending it with a flick of the wrist. Without wasting any time, she draws the string, the other knife still in her hand. Energy crackles around the pommel stone, forming a glowing green arrow, and when she releases it it sails off to bury itself in a nearby tree. The energy dissipates, leaving only the small hole it dug in the trunk.]

[fantasy rpg aww yeah]

Got to forgive an old lady for showin' off. [she winks, folding the weapon back up.] 'sides, a weapon like this takes experience. But I can train ya with a regular bow, no problem.

Nice and traditional, can't go wrong there. Good luck! [she gives a playful two-fingered salute.]
