[ Katina opens up a video feed in front of her finished mech, little more than a statue right now, but at least a pretty one, and one that COULD be made functional if she figures out how. ]

Hey! I know there are guns here, and that some of them even work, but I know I can't rely on just that. I'd just beat the shit out of anything I couldn't shoot, but joint locks aren't gonna work too well on a snake person, so I need a little help. I heard that there's a 'Sephiroth' here who could teach me how to use a sword, but if anyone wants to teach me how to use a spear or an axe or a fuckin' monk's spade, I'm up for it.

[ She huffs and crosses her arms. ]

And what was up with everyone for a while there? I was working like a woman possessed, and Subaru, I know you're not that much of a flirt. Is this kinda BS normal here?

It's not like I'm offended, or even bothered! You're a nice girl, you're good looking, and if you actually still wanna drink together, I'm ready when you are.

Yeah, that'd be a bit of a pain in the ass to explain. Probably as good an excuse as any to get drunk.

[ Okay, so maybe she's looking for an excuse to not drink alone. ]

[ Thankfully Sanae shot her down, and seemed to not question her attitude in the moment, or she'd really be in trouble. But what about people who may heard her talking to Katina, or just saw her walking around? Ahhh, so much to worry about. ]

Maybe! Aheh, I'll admit I don't actually drink that often. I ... did promise Sanae I'd see if I could find some sake, though. F-for celebrating!

Nothin' wrong with that. It always tastes better when you have someone to share it with.

Haha, that's true! [ So there's one upside to that exchange after all. ]

[ A smile, as she's feeling reassured. ] You're right, Katina.

[ She bows her head. ] Thank you, Katina. [ Because it's even more reassuring to hear that. She'd rather clear the air about her behavior ASAP if she can. ]

...now I'm just hoping that people don't get the wrong idea from your broadcast. [ She has to admit to some concern there, even if she doesn't look like it's a Big Deal. ]

[ Katina thinks for a moment, then shrugs. ]

Well, hopefully they'll just ask, but I guess you can't trust everyone to make sense.

Aheh, I guess not.

[ She just sort of sighs, but seems to perk up at something else Katina was talking about. ] Oh! I wanted to say that while I don't have any experience with using any melee weapons, I've got some skill at defending against them. If you ever need someone to practice with.

Oh, good. I can practice with people who can't teach me, and I'll need a lot of practice.

Hehe, okay! I can also work with you on any hand-to-hand techniques, but--

Well, just to be sure, can you use any magic at all? [ That will make it easier. ]

Nope! Didn't know a damned thing about any sort of magical anything until I met a guy and his talking cats, and that was less than a year ago.

Aheh, I see. Well then, I won't bring that into the mix at all.

When aren't we free? I'll just have to schedule around anyone else who wants to spar or teach me, and the rest of my time's pretty much just doing whatever.

[ A little laugh. ] Good point! I still try to keep myself busy, but I always make time for friends, so just let me know whenever you want to get together. [ Innocent offer! ]

Yeah, I'll get a hold of you whenever I'm ready to go.

[ Whether that be sparring or trying to get her to drink. ]
