[ There's a new arrival by the telltale dress. She doesn't seem to have any qualms with getting it dirty, as there seems to be a bit of mental give-and-take. You take the girl from her home, give her a while to get over the initial shock... and she'll do whatever she wants with that beautiful gown you gave her. Her appreciation for finery is lacking, but, then again, no one is around to scold her for it...

... that she knows of, as of yet.

She hums. It's a lovely little tune most likely from a children's television show. Her kimono and apron and broom and a box are all folded up nicely on top of one another as she continues to move down the line of looking through the grassy blooms. Occasionally she'll pick something out from it, a certain flower or odd looking greenery-- and set it on top of the box.

A good eye can pick up something in common these plants have. ]

I really shouldn't waste much time... but I rarely get to pick myself.

It is. Nii-san isn't here and will not be. But we decided to create his room regardless. It... it didn't feel right without it...

There is only one non-servant resident there besides myself and that's Kris.

She's an irritating simpleton that's so lazy she makes a sloth look active. She uses magic for the simplest things - like traveling - has no sense of moderation and is mostly motivated by money or creature comforts.

[In other words, yeah, Akiha does like her somewhat. She doesn't complain this much about the people she doesn't like.]

I did just tell you she's lazier than a sloth. She's been wanting her own maid since I let her into the mansion. I've refused to as I only had Hisui and not you as well.

Yes. We're just inside the orchard. There's a portal to a dark and savage land called the Hollow near the mansion. I don't want you going there.

Monstrous creatures. Harpies, Lamia and other such things. They attack and attempt to eat any of us that venture there.

I've had to deal with more of them than I cared to when they were invading the Gardens.

I don't know. I've not been here long enough to know what to truly expect.

For now, making a peaceful life out of a bizarre utopia seems like the only logical progression.

For now... I can't predict what will happen in the future but I will be prepared.

[ She pauses. ] Akiha-sama? May I ask something regarding someone staying at the mansion for a bit?

[She's only been in the Garden for a month, but Kohaku's been with the branch family in the mountains for six months prior to that. But this isn't the time to talk about the inexplicable differences between things as she remembers them and as Hisui does. She has her maids and that's what matters in the end to Akiha.]

You may. I've been quite generous to those trapped here with us, offering shelter before when the monsters were roaming the Gardens. There are only a few here I won't allow on the grounds.
