[When the portal opened and monsters started pouring in, Lambda...didn't care much at all, really. They weren't affecting her daily life, so what need did she have to get involved? There would be no benefit to doing so, as far as she could tell, so beyond staying armored at all times as a precaution she made no changes to her typical routine and went about her life in the Gardens as she had since her arrival.]

[That had all gone well enough—until today. Today, when she ventures out to gather something to eat, she winds up being accosted by a harpy, and, as tends to happen when belligerent monsters meet with trigger-happy robots, this run in quickly devolves into a fight.]

[And rushed though her construction may have been, Lambda is still a very formidable opponent. After a somewhat one-sided clash, Lambda using those energy blades she summons to keep her opponent at bay, the harpy turns and flees. When that happens, Lambda pauses as though considering, and then—]

...Pursuing target.

[And off she goes, intending to chase that monster down until one or both of them are dead... Unless someone intervenes or otherwise distracts her, that is.]

[Xion stops to stare, because while she's seen plenty of fights, she's never seen anyone fight quite like that. The efficiency is impressive and a little frightening, but she should have expected it from watching how Lambda fished.]

[she calls out to get the other's attention.]

Do you need any help?

[She pauses as she hears Xion's voice, the optic in her visor pivoting in her direction. There's a brief pause while she analyzes the situation, and then she replies:]

I do not require assistance.

[Well, it's only half that. The other half is that Xion might get in the way, and she knows nothing of how the other girl fights. She can not coordinate an effective strategy without knowing that. So, with that said, she returns to chasing down her opponent.]

[while she doesn't really have a concept of rudeness, the abrupt way Lambda ends conversations does throw her for a loop, so she stands there for a moment as the other girl dashes off.]

Wait!

It's running away, so it's scared. Do you really have to chase it?

[while she's ready to fight, she remembers the time with the robots, and these creatures aren't Heartless. Only if they're really a threat should they be erased, in her eyes.]

[As Xion speaks to her again, she stops and turns.]

Threats must be eliminated.

[Even if it doesn't seem to be much of a threat anymore. But the harpy is escaping farther and farther away, which means Lambda is losing interest.]

If it's not fighting, it's not a threat, right...?

I...I think we're just supposed to make them go back home.

[Unfortunately, Lambda is the type to continue attacking a target even after it's been incapacitated. Any fight is a fight to kill for her. Still, it's not hard to calm her down in some ways—with the monster out of sight, she's almost forgotten entirely.]

A target's threat level is determined by additional factors besides aggression.

...Really? Uh, like--what? I mean, if it's not hurting anyone, then what's so bad?

Other factors include the scope and severity of damage any weapons or abilities it possesses have the potential to cause.
