[Sometime after nightfall, Hallibel activates the vine and speaks. She sounds distracted, though, like she's waiting for something...]
If I am not mistaken, not one of us has wished for a person and had them actually arrive. I received mementos of those I wished to see instead, as I am guessing the rest of you have also received. It is... unfortunate.
[There. A twinkle of movement in the sky, of a star falling in the form of a meteorite. A glowing red ball of energy flies from her hand and soars like a bullet through the sky to catch it in midair before it can hit the ground.]
I have also noticed new structures appearing where there had been nothing the day before. Who is building them?

[It occurs to Yuna that she's going off-track, and she gives a start.]
--oh. I'm sorry. I don't know of anyone who's built anything.
[voice]
[She ceases looking to the sky and pays more attention to speaking for the moment.]
I doubt this is the work of anyone human.

For the people I wished for, I truly believe they'd be happy to come here.

[While it's a feeling Larry's dealt with, she's been damn lucky in those regards.]
Guess it must've been a pretty bad one too.

If I was slain and awoke here, perhaps they will as well, some day.

You mean... you...
[She lowers her head.]
I guess we oughta find a way for some of us to get out without blowing the whole place to bits.

...I am not in such a hurry. If this is what lies beyond, it is not such a terrible place.

Er, uh, I sure hope no one here's dead. Hey, maybe you just got knocked for a loop and you'll wake up in a hospital some time in the future.
[ voice ]
As for the new structures, perhaps someone wished for them! Ooh, perhaps I should have wished for my house? This place is lovely, but I do miss my own bed, just a bit...
[ voice ]
Hm. I did not try wishing for a structure. I have a feeling you'd simply receive a scale model, however. If you try it, let us know.
[ voice ]
I was not, however, able to send anything back, so if it was communication, it was extremely one-sided! I shall have to be content to spend time with my True Love only in my dreams. [ long sigh ]
Perhaps I will try it! Oh dear, I wonder if it's one of those wishes you have to be very specific about. I would not want to crush any of these lovely flowers or the homes of the helpful animals! I wonder how one goes about asking for such things...
[ voice ]
It fits the theme. This place is peaceful and idyllic... when left to its own devices, anyway. Perhaps unpredictable, but tranquil all the same. A message of love is no stretch of the imagination.
[A nod, on her end.] Yes. Be careful. Being crushed underneath a falling house will not further any goals.
[voice]
[ She pauses a moment. ]
I might be responsible for that. Although I can't say I built it. The soil from the wild places outside the Gardens— [ Another hesitation. ] I'm not sure, but I think you can make things from it. Like buildings.
[voice]
I believe I know what house you speak of. That is not the only one that's sprung up, however: it appears that the 'Necessities' buildings grow and vanish at their own will.
This soil from the wilds, now. That is interesting. You formed it into a house?
[voice]
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to this. This place.
[ At the question, she's quiet again, thinking of how best to answer. ]
It... This is going to sound crazy, but I think it formed itself. From my thoughts.
It duplicated the residence of someone very close to me from my world. [ She tries to keep her tone as lightly neutral as possible. ]
[voice]
[Hallibel remains quiet in turn as Caprica explains as best she can. It makes just about as much sense to her as it does anyone else.]
I know of energy being crafted into matter, but not thoughts. This place appears to operate by a set of rules that have no anchoring in rationality.

[She's holding a flawless black sphere in her hands; presumably that's the momento she's referring to]
For all the talk granting 'wishes' these stars don't seem to be able to give us what we really need.

[Sigh]
At least it was willing to give me my sword.
[voice]
I still feel fortunate to have arrived with my sword.
