Something a little strange just happened--yes, I know everything here is strange, but...those creatures in the library. Bears, yes? There's a section of it they're guarding, and they wouldn't let me through before. But today they stood aside...

[she turns a little red here.] I don't understand the purpose of those kinds of books. I'm not really sure they teach you anything. But that's not the point--I'm not sure what changed to make the let me by.

[the truth is, her eighteenth birthday has come and gone recently, but she hasn't exactly been tracking time correctly since her first kidnapping, let alone her second.]

If anyone has any ideas--I'd appreciate it.

I've been getting by on basics, but that would be pretty nice to have more variety. Maybe if we bug the queen enough next time she puts herself out there we can get something.

I'll remember to do that. If she's really concerned with making us comfortable, she should listen.

Might help if we spin it to make it sound romantic.

That's true...maybe mention candlelit dinners and picnics for two...

Well enough to keep a picky teenager from complaining, but that's about the limit of it.

I don't mean to brag, but I know a thing or two about cooking. I don't doubt there's someone here that's better, though.

Even so, a little help would go a long way.
