[Action and Video]

[The vine's mirrors seem to be following Souji without her being aware of it, or at least, without her caring. Currently, she's wandering around the garden hefting a big, new, heavy-looking spade. And also a cartoonish purple flower that appears to be growing out of her head, since she had to go get new dirt to make the spade. The theater masks floating around, though, are probably a result of the flowers.]

[When she finds a cluster of the mystery flowers, she acts methodically, with the irritated look of someone who's experienced getting close to the damn things a couple of times already. She stands back and invokes a Persona, the image of Scathach appearing above her and covering the harshly-scented blooms in ice. Then, Souji goes to work with the spade, silently and grumpily.]

[At some point in the day, she notices the mirror following her, gets bored, and addresses it.]

As much fun as I had sharing dreams, cracks in reality seem a little too dangerous, you know? Anyone else working on this?

((Feel free to tag video or action, she's going all over the place until her mana runs out.))

Yeah. Almost knocked me out the first time I started pulling them up. I think it's how they defend themselves.

[she thinks for a moment.]

So that's why you're freezing them? I could do that.

I thought you could. If you want to help, I'd be glad for you to.

Okay, I'll come find you. Or should I work on a different part of the Gardens? Would we get more done that way?

Let's go together. We can both save energy that way.

[she pats her pockets to make sure the charms she carries are still there, and stands.]

I'll find a cat--it won't take too long.

[Souji hangs around in one place for a bit to wait for Xion, resting up and trying to make a Soul Drop out of Wild Place dirt. She ends up with a can of TaP soda and a girly bottle opener, shrugs, and drinks the soda.]

[and here's Xion sometime later, Keyblade in hand and trailing a cat. It wanders off once it sees she's reached her destination. She waves.]

Those flowers really are everywhere.

When this place has a problem, it has a big problem. Ready to get started? I got the location of more flowers from a friend of mine with scanning magic.

You're probably right...the last time with the flowers was bad, too.

[she nods.]

I'm ready. So we have to pull them all up?

That's the plan. Do you have a way of freezing them first?

I know Blizzard magic. [another nod.]

Awesome! Nearest patch of them should be this way.

[And off she goes.]

[and now she's got a little shadow trailing her! Xion follows, spotting the indicated plants, and moves around them for a moment while she decides on her angles of attack.]

Okay...freeze!

[she takes her Keyblade in both hands, pointing it at them, and a lump of shimmering air arcs up and lands in the center of the cluster of plants. The effect is nearly instantaneous, encasing most of them in a block of ice.]

Oh...uh...I didn't think about that. That's gonna make it hard to pull them up...

For all the times I've cast an ice spell, I never figured out how to make things stay frozen for more than a second.

Well, let's try this.

[Souji walks up and gives the solid block of ice a nice, solid heel kick, trying to shatter it.]

Well, it only lasts for a little while, and then it stops working, but I haven't used it on regular flowers before, just Heartless.

[she blinks and steps back as the ice cracks and crumbles a bit, leaving chunks still clinging to the plants. But at least they're more accessible now.]

Woah! You're really strong.

I have a lot of training in kicking stuff. My best friend is kind of the mistress of it.

[Souji takes out the parasol that was her old sword and starts picking off chunks of the cracked ice with it.]

So what's a Heartless?

Wow. [Xion looks thoroughly impressed. She's never been able to break anything without the aid of a weapon, really.]

[she moves to help Souji with her Keyblade.]

A Heartless...they're creatures, um, monsters. They eat people's hearts.

[Between the picking action and the warmth of the Gardens, it's not too long before the plants are again at least grippable. And also very dead aboveground.]

Sounds painful. We had monsters called Shadows at home, but they were all in a different world and most people don't know about them.

Only in one world? That's better than every world, at least...

[she has to put her whole weight into pulling up the flowers, tiny as she is. When the one she's been working at abruptly comes free, she falls on her backside.]

Ow!

Be careful, Xion. Spread your feet and get a good stance, like this.

[Souji proceeds to demonstrate, tugging at a particularly embedded flower...and falling over herself and getting covered in torn-up dirt when half the root structure flies free of the ground suddenly.]

Ha! Ow.

[Xion giggles despite herself, clapping a hand over her mouth.]

Sorry! It's just...

Hey, if I do something that stupid, please laugh. It helps.

[She stands and brushes herself off.]

I don't think it was stupid. These flowers are really stuck, that's all.

True enough. Let's try doing these big ones together.
