Oh dear, this is terribly unpleasant...

[Vitalia appears on the Vine, windswept and soaking, cradling a few potted plants and struggling to keep a pleasant demanour.]

er, could I please get some assistance? I'm afraid my greenhouse has been, er, compromised, and I must get my specimens to shelter immediately! I wouldn't trouble any of you, but I'm simply not equal to the task on my own!

[A pane of glass shatters in the background, and her brave face falls. She flinches and screams. After a moment, she recovers slightly, her voice shaking.]

i... i would greatly appreciate whatever aid could be offered.

Not a problem at all, my dear. I'll be there shortly. [Though the wind whips through her hair, making it appear far larger and wilder than usual, she doesn't seem remotely bothered by the storm. Part of the reason for this is her near-invulnerability, and part of it is the fact that she simply doesn't care if she's injured.]

[RELIEF!!!] Oh, thank you ever so much, Miss Kuja! I shall try to keep things under control until your arrival.

Yes, of course.

[She does arrive shortly, though not as quickly as she'd hoped. She's not a long distance flier, and the storm might not injure her, but it does hamper her. She wishes she had one of her dragons with her, not for the first time. She looks unusually bedraggled.]

Such a troublesome storm. And where is it we are taking your little creations?

[Vitalia is bedraggled and rather less covered than usual- she's sacrificed modesty on her legs for tentacle use, with her extra limbs clutching pots, supplies, and notes tightly. She may be crying; the rain makes it hard to tell.]

Thank goodness! I- I do hope you're all right.

There is a large domicile nearby that seems suitable. I can't understand how it's survived this torrent, but I shall have to pursue that mystery once my work is rescued!

Oh, a little squall like this is barely an inconvenience to one such as myself. [She finds the tentacles interesting, but her gaze doesn't linger on them, and she doesn't comment on them.]

Yes, I glimpsed the building that you mean. [One of her dragons or an airship would make this easy to deal with. Most of her magic deals with destruction or illusion rather than transportation. Rescuing people is more complicated than she'd thought it would be. She's not sure if she should make a habit of it.] Shall I carry you there first and come back for the rest?

[She struggles inwardly for a moment] I- I suppose if you carried them first, I could make my way in that direction... it'd be a bit quicker that way. I'm sure I could last better on my own than they.

[Not that she wants to; the destruction is sparking unpleasant memories]

If you're certain. [It is true that the specimens are more fragile, so she can see the logic, and is not about to argue.] I could cast a temporary spell on you that would reflect damage. With your permission.

I would not say it were possible if it were not. [Kuja gestures with one hand and a cloud of light forms around Vitalia, glitters, then dissipates, though it leaves its magic behind.] There you are.

[Kuja makes a noncommittal noise at the mention of favors. She very much doubts there's anything Vitalia can do for her, and she's already having second thoughts about all this helping. Yet she begins to assist in gathering up the specimens.]

[She marvels at the magic for a moment before remembering the whole "emergency evacuation" thing. She starts in the direction of the mansion, hugging her own load to herself, face set with determination.]

[Kuja flies ahead. She is hampered by the storm, though she travels much faster than Vitalia, and by the time she heads back, Vitalia is still trudging toward the Mansion.]

Shall I take more of them for you? [She is being quite gracious today, but it's unlikely she'll offer to help anyone else, at this point.]

I believe this is the remainder, here. [She hefts her collection; even down an arm and a couple of tentacles, she has a lot of holding ability.]

Then you seem to have the matter well in hand, now. I deposited your specimens in the building. [She gives one of her dramatic bows, queenly in manner in spite of her rain-drenched state.] If there is nothing else...?

y- yes... thank you ever so much for your help, Miss Kuja! [She attempts a curtsey in return. This... is not the best curtsey ever.]

I suppose not... I'm already quite in your debt! Do take care of yourself, won't you? [And she gives a grateful smile before stumbling forward toward the mansion]

[Look who's already here! There are times when it's convenient to always be carrying an umbrella around, although this storm's well past the point where it does a huge amount of good.]

At least you're concerned for their safety at times like this.
