[It's nighttime. The vine shows what appears to be a disoriented young lady, oblivious to the presence of the mirror. In truth, that's not exactly the case; the mirror had been deliberately called, and the apparent confusion is mostly an act. Grace is just doing her best to establish herself to anyone who might be watching as a poor, helpless little girl, pathetic and in need of coddling. She stands from where she had been seated, blinking owlishly and distractedly smoothing the skirt of the white arrival's dress.]

Am... Am I dreaming...?

[No, of course she's not dreaming—that would be too convenient. But it's not like she really has a home to return to, so rather than being upset or enraged by her abduction, she merely finds it annoying. Still, it's annoying in the worst possible way, so she has to fight to keep the helpless stutter in her voice when she speaks next.]

B-but... I thought this place was just something I imagined...

[She turns then, pretending to catch sight of the mirror for the first time.]

Oh! H, hello. [She smiles an uncertain smile.] I d-didn't realize you were th-there. Are, are you showing this to everyone? A-are the people I met before still here...? Please... I d-don't want to be alone in this place...

[The stutter is gone, though, and her tone is a haughty sniff.]

I'm saying that you don't have to pretend to be the sweet little darling. You're caught out~ But I don't think our relationship has to be nasty, do you? We can be friends.

[She doesn't trust it at all. Still, she would prefer having an ally rather than an enemy, or at least someone silent about her vampirism, so she'll take the bait.]

And just what would being friends with you entail?

Oh, not much. You scratch my back, I'll make sure you don't get a knife in yours, that kind of thing~ You'll find I'm very reliable, when I have a good reason.

...Hn. That's fine with me, so long as friends don't go spilling other friends' secrets.

Oh, you don't have to worry about that~ Long as you stay useful, I won't let anything happen to you. I promise. [And she crosses the heart she doesn't have to prove it.]

[Grace hates letting someone have leverage over her, but she really doesn't have much of a choice that she can see. She's doing her best not to let Larxene see that, though, so she keeps her voice light and casual as she replies. If there is one good thing about pretending to be the "sweet little darling," it's that she has learned how to act.]

Then I suppose there's no reason not for me to agree.

Not unless you want to deal with everyone knowing just what you are, no. Who knows, you might even start to like me one of these days.

[Like she cares about that. She just likes having power over someone, and someone that she can use. And use she will, whenever she has something for Grace to do.]

[If she stopped to think about it, she'd probably realize being a vampire wouldn't be a huge deal in a place full of things like witches and half-demons. Unfortunately, old habits die hard, so she's set on keeping her true species a secret.]

Maybe so. [She doubts it, but she's being civil.] Is that all?

[Probably not, but Larxene is counting on the fear being enough, and people rarely like blood-drinking monsters in her experience, regardless how soft and fluffy they might act.]
