I'm sure you're not. No one is boring at parties., it's just whether or not they're talking to the right people. ( Pausing; how to explain? )

If you don't click with someone, it's going to be awkward no matter where you are, but if you get on a roll with someone, then it's fine. ( A tiny shrug, and she's twirling the little pink umbrella between her fingers, just watching it spin. ) We have lots of fun at the library, I don't see why a party would be any different. ( Punctuated with a nod. She's quite certain about this. ) Besides, things get easier the more often you do them. If you come to one, getting to know people and coming to the next will be more fun as you get your stride.

( Sipping her drink, now! ) Anyway, I'll host the next one, and then it can be your turn to play the part of guest, Gabrielle. How do you feel about fancy dress parties? Costumes, and everything.
