little 009 [video/action]
[Following her adventure with Fela, Sephiroth decided to sail out to see if the ocean could be crossed. As it turns out, it could not be. After Sephiroth reached a certain point, she lost consciousness and awoke back on the shore, where her journey began. For her efforts, she was rewarded with a wildcard effect.
She is currently nine years old. More than that, she temporarily has only the memories of her nine year old self.
The silver-haired, green-eyed child is currently kneeling on the beach, wearing the white gown of a new arrival. The birds brought the garment for her because her usual clothes had become too large for her to wear. Her sword, pauldrons, and battle gear lie beside her on the sand. She remains still, as if waiting for something, though she has the slightly impatient air of someone who feels she has been waiting too long.
The Vine has wound its way toward her, and when it produces a mirror, she studies it curiously. It is something like a screen, and she needs to contact the researchers. She addresses it formally.]
Subject name Sephiroth.
I believe the intercom or the program may be malfunctioning. I have received no instructions, and the simulation is inactive. Please respond.
[[OOC: Sephiroth will be Tinyroth for the next 3 days, following which point all her memories will return. She will also retain her memories of her temporary second childhood.]]

I believe you could, at that. It's a very impressive weapon, isn't it? But yes, I am affiliated with Shinra. I'm-- in the Urban Development sector. Not really sure why or how we're here, sorry to say. I only know that I appeared here some time ago, and now I've come across you!
There are other people here as well. They seem to have gotten here the same way-- but sometimes people do go back to their homes. Maybe you won't stay very long. [She smiles.] What do you think you'd like to do now? Are you hungry?
no subject
Thank you for the information, Reeve. I will tell the professor that you were helpful and not responsible for my contamination. [She nods, familiar with the term "Urban Development", and relaxes further.] If we have been abducted, that is an act of aggression. Retaliation should be our next action. Who is our opponent?
no subject
You're quite welcome. Thank you for putting in a good word for me.
But as much as I'm sure you could incapacitate just about anyone with that weapon, I'm not sure the situation calls for that much power. The being who brought us here seems more interested in-- researching us rather than anything else. She doesn't allow her subjects to come to any permanent harm and seems to send them home after a time. It is bothersome, and of course aggressive. But she doesn't see it that way, I don't think.
However, if you like we can try to find her-- though many have tried and failed! But first, why don't we get a little something to eat and maybe a change of clothes for you. Would that be all right? You could come along with me to my shelter, if you like. [She smiles.

[As Reeve knows this place and is a Shinra employee, going with her sounds like the wisest course of action at this time.] That sounds acceptable. I'll accompany you. I must bring these items with me. [She gathers them up. Though their size makes this seem awkward, she has no real difficulty. Once she is standing, she does not have to look so high to meet Reeve's gaze. She's relatively tall for her age.] Are there any scientific texts at your residence?
no subject
Unfortunately, there is little in the way of scientific reading available here. But, I have pulled together a set of scientific observations on the environment, if you'd like to have a look at those.
My place isn't very far from here, we'll come through a woods to get there.
Would you like me to carry the shoulder plates, at least? Might be less awkward that way.
no subject
That is unfortunate, but I would like to read your observations. Do you have any robots here? [Reeve's mention of robots was intriguing.]
No, I can carry the pauldrons. [She looks them over appreciatively. Like something a SOLDIER would wear. SOLDIERs always carry their own gear, and she can do so as well.] It is no trouble.
no subject
It's nice to think my observations might be of use to someone-- and yes! I do have a few small robots, actually, though they aren't of my design. I encountered them here in the Garden. They're a fairly friendly, helpful little bunch, but nothing incredibly sophisticated.
Do you have any robots back in your-- facility, Sephiroth?
no subject
Have you been here a long time, Reeve? [If she's had time to make a house and do research, she can't have arrived that recently.] I can help you in your research. I know all about researching. I would like to see the robots, too.
The professor's focus is on genetics, although there are robots guarding the facility. I am not allowed to interfere with them. [Although she has done so, because she does not always listen.]
[She pauses. She's noticed that Reeve has not asked about the professor.] Do you know Professor Hojo?
no subject
Professor Hojo? Yes, I know him. That is to say I've sat through a few meetings where he was in attendance-- and of course I know him by reputation.
[Reeve hopes she doesn't seem to eager to leave the subject of the professor, but she really doesn't care for the man. Lately, she's come to care for him less than ever.]
I think your assistance would be quite valuable, actually-- I'd love to hear what you think of my efforts so far. Oh, and you can interfere with these robots as much as you like. They seem to enjoy that-- as long as it doesn't involve dismantling them. They do seem to enjoy learning new tasks!
no subject
I wondered, since you are a Shinra employee. [She doesn't have a great deal to say on the subject of the professor herself.] I did not think he would associate a great deal with Urban Development. [Livable cities: not Hojo's top priority.] He spends most of his time in the lab.
I will analyze your research. [She likes to watch the researchers at work, but they never let her help. Perhaps largely because she is not supposed to know about the research relating to her. Sometimes she looks at things she shouldn't.] I promise I will not dismantle the robots. If you have been here a long time, do you think I will be as well? [She sounds slightly hopeful.]
no subject
You know, I'm really not sure. It seems to vary without any particular pattern. But I do hope you'll stay a while, though I know that's selfish of me.
As for me, I've been here long enough to learn a few things, but not terribly long yet. [She smiles. I'm looking forward to having my research analyzed, I can tell you! I spend most of my time working in my office-- it makes a bit of a nice change, being in such a different environment. Even if I do miss my computers.
And, here we are! [She comes to a stop in the clearing that surrounds her apartment. There are one or two small robots in the area. One appears to have gathered a pile of apples and is sorting them according to size and color variation. Reeve moves past to open the door.] After you!
no subject
I spend most of my time in the lab. It is quite unlike this environment. A change is not unpleasant.
[The architecture of Reeve's dwelling is not unfamiliar to her, although its location is odd. The robots are far more interesting. They are quite unlike the robots at home. As she pauses to study them with wide eyes, the one Sephiroth has named Faremis hurries over, apparently recognizing her in her altered state. It hands her an apple. Sephiroth takes it wordlessly.]
no subject
You seem to have made a friend already. Do you like apples?
I suppose that would be quite a change, coming from the lab to a place like this. I'm glad it's a change that's pleasant. [She smiles.]
I suppose I'd like you to stay for a few reasons, actually. Shinra might be one of them, but I also enjoy discussing science with you-- though of course we've only just begun to do that!
Would you like something to eat, Sephiroth? Then I can share my journals with you, if you like. I do have a spare room where you can leave your things, if you'd like to see that as well.
no subject
I can see why you would want someone to discuss such matters with. Are there many people here?
I would like to eat, thank you, and I will not be able to eat without storing my items somewhere.
no subject
Here, there should be plenty of room for those things on the bed, if that's where you'd like to put them. Then I'll see about something to eat! I'm sure you'll let me know if there is something that isn't allowed. I wouldn't want to interfere with your diet.
[Reeve smiles.]
As for the other people here, there are quite a few-- over thirty at least at present. We're all women here, as well.
no subject
I eat military rations. I am going to be a SOLDIER, so I am already in training.
All women? This is a study of human females, then?
no subject
It is wonderful really, getting this chance to relate with Sephiroth in this way. Even though she imagines that when Sephiroth returns to herself, she'll be less than thrilled with the idea.]
You're quite accomplished! I'm sure you'll make a great SOLDIER-- the uniform already seems to suit you.
And yes, it's true the population is all female, but not that it is all human. There a members of alien species here, and quite a few lifeforms I would have considered to be fantastic as well. It's-- quite an interesting assortment of females, actually.
So, now that you've put your things away, what do you say to some tea and a bite to eat?
no subject
Aliens and other lifeforms? Like what? Can I see them? [Her eyes light up. She wants to see an alien. But the mention of food distracts her, if only temporarily. She can't remember when she last ate.]
I would like to eat. Though I am used to rations, I can digest any food. I will have whatever can be readily prepared.
no subject
Yes, I'm sure you'll see quite a few aliens! Most of them look human in some way, but I'll be sure to point them out. We can take a walk-- that is to say, you can patrol the Garden and I'll come along-- after we've eaten, if you like.
[Once in the kitchen, she puts together a few of the things that Sephiroth enjoys as small meals-- mostly high protein foods, and presents them to the girl.]
Here we are-- does that seem all right to you?
