Marceline Abadeer: The Vampire Queen
07 April 2012 @ 03:10 am
║Don'tknow about the Egg Epidemic? Well, you have been living under a rock! Well, in Marceline's case under/inside of a tree, but same diff right? Sure, she had missed the messages but not the point. The crying of the point had dragged her not only out of the shower but also out of her house, the noise echoing in the empty tree fort.║

♬ Hey baby, are you feeling sad?
Listen to Mama when she says that things aren't so bad!

║Cradling the egg in her against her with her left arm she held her umbrella overhead with her right, rocking where she sat. The words were a little harsh and dark but her tone was syrupy sweet, almost like she didn't mind. For Glob's sake she had gone far enough to put the baby in a onesie with the word "EGGCELENT" printed on it. ║

♬  Hey baby, I'm so glad to meet you!
But if you keep up the noise, I'm going to have to eat you!

║ Yeah, she sings a lot. Put on some shades and deal with it! ║

-In what has no doubt become familiar, an egg is heard crying in the background. Sanae doesn't seem too stressed about it.-

I thought, at first, that this was just me. And then I saw other people had eggs, too. I guess at least half of us have them, right? Heh...

A-anyways, these are kind of like the trial babies we had in school, aren't they? Though it's pretty different? How is everyone holding up?

Also, Nue, do you think you could help me with this? I didn't hear any crying coming from your room, so I guess you dont have one.

-Yep. More crying.-

Oh my... A-ah... If I could only feed it, this wouldn't be such a problem! But they don't seem to be responding to anything! Oh dear... I need help!

-And to think, she's going to be a real mother someday...-

-And here we find Akira, looking a tad hung over and slumping over her bed, an egg on top of her, crying away. She looks completely defeated.-

...

Lilyyyy why can't you be heeeere and save meeeee... -Hicup-

Help me out here, guys. I dunno what to do.

Sol Badguy [AU: Female]

[When Sol had been woken by the sound of a crying child, her first impulse had been to chuck the damn eggbaby out a window — but then she remembered the roses they had been given at the beginning of February the previous year. Deciding it would probably be for the best if she didn't risk turning this object lesson in motherhood into a bloodthirsty monster, she had tried to calm it down. And, obviously, she had failed. It had just cried and cried and cried, and she had very little patience for childcare in the best of circumstances, and— Well. She had become very frustrated very quickly.]

[Which is why she is now wandering around the Gardens, holding the egg at her hip in a way that would probably be very bad for an actual infant. (It's not an actual infant, though, and it doesn't seem to have a neck that needs supporting, so she's not especially concerned with as much.) It has been crying for its "mama" nonstop, hasn't it? And nothing she has done has calmed it down, right? Obviously the baby isn't actually hers and she's meant to deliver it to its intended mother or something equally pointless. She isn't sure if this is the intended course of action or if the Queen just screwed up making sure the right eggs went to the right place, but she doesn't care. She just wants the damn thing to shut up already.]

[If only it had come with a nametag. Goddammit.]

Belgium | Eloise Schouten

[Belgium loves kids, really! Babies are cute! But this egg is weird and no amount of rocking and singing it will make it perfectly happy, at least not so long as she's huddled up with it in Ukraine's cottage.

So her and the egg are out for a walk, with Belgium humming to try to make it happy and failing miserably. Eventually she plops down somewhere in the grass, with her skirt fanned out around her and the egg in her lap, frowning down at it. The vine shows up, to helpfully broadcast her concerns to the Gardens.]

Obviously quite a few of us have these egg... things, and I don't know about everyone else, but this one wants its mama something terrible. Any suggestions on how to go about finding these poor things their mothers before she drives me crazy?
