[the mirror shows the interior of an apartment, slightly darker than usual. Claire has hung curtains over the windows to deter the attention of their unwanted guests. She looks tired, though not about to collapse, at least.]

I hope everyone is staying safe...please don't do anything reckless.

I had a question to ask, however...has anyone seen Miss Monsigny--Gabrielle? Or Miss Nanako? I haven't heard from either of them in several days now. There's no way to tell if they went out or have gone home...I just hope they're safe.

Ah, if anyone needs a place to stay, or just take shelter, the apartments still have plenty of empty rooms.

[It's not quite dark when Kadaj emerges from the Labyrinth. Her face is drawn, and her eyes wide, but not with fear. Lurching out of the darkness of the cave, clawing at the air, she appears to be exactly what she is, a monster.

Beneath the Gardens, time has been passing at a different rate for Kadaj than for those on the surface. Ages. Eons. Alone in the endless, frozen dark of space-- and then sometimes, not alone. In her current state, she is beyond communication, her thoughts (such as they are) traveling in a single, cyclical track. Far from chastening or calming her, the Labyrinth has stripped her of her veneer-- her madness is naked, unchained. Somewhere within Kadaj, there may be something akin to sorrow, but whatever the nameless emotion is, it's nothing like regret for stabbing the human worm in the gut and leaving her to die (however briefly). If anything it's the terrible rage of an abandoned child, a lost monster.

She will tear the world, this world, any world, away from its foundations. Shake it until it is dead, until she is delivered into her Mother's arms.

Kadaj can see that there are other monsters in the Gardens. Strange, the things humans dream of, embodiments of their pitiful, physical fears.
Trailing black mist like a shroud, Kadaj is not afraid. She laughs and laughs and her hands are like white shards of ice when she manifests her sword. But the strange beings let her pass, parting like a sea.

One of us.

Yes, she can understand that. Whatever Kadaj finds that is not of herself, she will destroy. Then she can be at peace. Then there will only be herself, and Mother, and all of Mother's children. A perfect world.]

...

[Kadaj is unaware she's being observed by the vine. Random encounters and/or attempts to reason with and/or console Kadaj are more than welcome, but are unlikely to end well.]

[Have a nice view of a fully armored Washington fighting off a harpy. She's taking a few hits, but it's overall not going bad. But she's quick enough to notice the mirror. It doesn't even fase her.] You know what? I'm never going to complain about the quiet here again. Ever.

Meta? You out there? Report.

For that matter, anyone else out there need a hand?
