[A cheerful looking Tenshi was standing near the vine, looking pretty, well, energetic. She had been through a few battles recently, nothing rose her spirits more than that! There was also a strange pink mist around her]

It has been a couple days, and look, the useless shrine maidens have completely failed to bring even a semblance of order to this place. But don't worry! I, Tenshi Hinanai, am willing to pick up their slack. Fighting is simply something I'm much better at than those two losers!

If anyone needs protection, I can tell you about a good place most of the critters can't reach!
But really, don't worry, this will be over soon, I'll just fly over and beat up their ruler or queen or whatever they have and bring back that doctor person. No problem, really.

I'm not an earth-crawling shrine maiden, after all, I'm better than that.

[Consequently, she can be encountered inAction on the way to the portal things, and flying around on the, err, other side, happily blasting various things that look lamia/Harpy/weird-ish. Maybe this includes your character?]

[When the portal opened and monsters started pouring in, Lambda...didn't care much at all, really. They weren't affecting her daily life, so what need did she have to get involved? There would be no benefit to doing so, as far as she could tell, so beyond staying armored at all times as a precaution she made no changes to her typical routine and went about her life in the Gardens as she had since her arrival.]

[That had all gone well enough—until today. Today, when she ventures out to gather something to eat, she winds up being accosted by a harpy, and, as tends to happen when belligerent monsters meet with trigger-happy robots, this run in quickly devolves into a fight.]

[And rushed though her construction may have been, Lambda is still a very formidable opponent. After a somewhat one-sided clash, Lambda using those energy blades she summons to keep her opponent at bay, the harpy turns and flees. When that happens, Lambda pauses as though considering, and then—]

...Pursuing target.

[And off she goes, intending to chase that monster down until one or both of them are dead... Unless someone intervenes or otherwise distracts her, that is.]

[ ooc: For a better idea of the way Lambda fights, see here, particularly after about a minute and a half in. I will also be ever-so-slowly tagging back the threads in the fishing log. Thanks for your patience! ]

[Oh, look. Yet another monster is lurking around the portal. Yawn. Not like there's anything unusual about that at this point—]

[—except maybe for the fact that this particular monster is a resident of the Gardens rather than from the Hollow. Yep, Nue just couldn't resist the opportunity to cause trouble, the chance to cause mischief calling to her like the song of a siren calls to a sailor, or perhaps like chocolate cake calls to a self-indulgent child. (The second metaphor is probably the more accurate one.) It's the perfect opportunity, too! While those shrine maidens and whoever else are off playing hero in the Hollow, she can just stay behind, disguise her shape with a Seed of Unknown Form, and merrily frighten whoever else happens to stumble by.]

[So, here she is, doing just that. Every so often, she rattles the branches of the trees and bushes as she lurks around in the shadows, letting out a high, eerie howl as she does so—the cry of the nue.]

[ ooc: Okay! Nue has used her Seeds of Unknown Form on herself, which means anyone who sees her will see what they are expecting to see. For most characters, this will probably mean they see a monster of some kind, given her location and the circumstances, but of course that is entirely up to the individual player. And, of course, a few of her canonmates will probably recognize the cry she's making, so they're more than welcome to see her for what she really is :v ]
