(no subject)

[With the new information from the damsel, Signum's abandoned her recon plan. If nothing else, the number of these things that would be falling now makes any kind of flight dangerous. So instead, she does this the way the Damsel suggested.]

[action]

I wish for Cypha of the Huckebein in handcuffs.

*BOOM CRASH!* [Inside the capsule: a mugshot of Cypha and a pair of fuzzy handcuffs. She lights the former on fire.]

I wish for Agito, fully healed as I was.

*BOOM CRASH!* [It's a...belt? Signum wonders about the connection and tosses it aside.]

I wish for escape from this place.

*BOOM CRASH!* [It's a fantasy novel. Signum shrugs and admits to herself she had that one coming.]

I wish for a hunting bow.

*BOOM CRASH!* [Oddly enough, that works. Signum's glad; hunting with a sword is neither sporting nor efficient. She spends the next few minutes wishing for individual arrows, a utility knife, and a fishing kit.]

Well, this is useful, but I don't--

*sword comes out to parry a shuriken falling at her, and is instantly sheathed again*

--I don't think it's very efficient. I wish for...

[Feel free to bother her or make suggestions.]

If you're any kind of engineer, try wishing for parts.

That's the idea. Wishing for a house won't work. Wishing for the planks and nails...

[identity profile] peachhat.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
That was a nice parry. I wonder if you can parry falling rocks.

[identity profile] peachhat.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Good question. How about this size?

[And suddenly, there's a ...giant rock coming down. Giant, like, fifteen feet in diameter. Of course, this one doesn't come from wishing.

[identity profile] peachhat.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Thought so!

And yes, I knew that. Don't worry, though, it'd not have killed you or anyone else, either way. Not unless I wanted to, and why would I?

Totally not bragging.

Yes, pretty sure. I can also do earthquakes that precisely destroy a location, like, a shrine, but not the village next to it. I'm good at this stuff, if I can say so about myself.

It's not arbitrary, it's targetted on proper targets.

No, that'd be silly. I plan it in advance, of course.

[She appears upside-down]

A house?

I thought as much. No buses, I suppose.

Think outside the box.

... Er.

[Oh hey, here's your friendly rival, Signum. And she seems to have spotted the pair of fuzzy handcuffs that came in the capsule along with Cypha's photo. Whatever she was about to approach Signum about is promptly forgotten.]

... What are you doing with those, Signum?

... Okay then.

[She's really not sure she wants to know what Signum was originally wishing for...]

N-No reason! This whole wish business is just a little weird, that's all...

[identity profile] angelgressor.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
What are you...doing?

[identity profile] angelgressor.livejournal.com 2010-12-04 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't have guessed 'wishing' to actually work.

[identity profile] angelgressor.livejournal.com 2010-12-05 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I thought the outfits were strange, but I can't say I've ever had a sense of style. It is nice to know I wasn't wrong, though...

[identity profile] angelgressor.livejournal.com 2010-12-05 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
(...Why did that comment make me think of Exie all of the sudden?)

Your commanding officer?

[identity profile] angelgressor.livejournal.com 2010-12-07 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
(...And I'm now thinking of Exie.)

I think I may know what you mean.

[identity profile] angelgressor.livejournal.com 2010-12-08 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry. I suppose I was caught off guard by such an odd statement.
