I found this in a book in the library...and a lot of other things like it. Is it some kind of puzzle? What does it mean?

[all those words are making her feel a bit odd, and she pats her cheeks self-consciously, trying not to think about it.]

It was...nice...I guess. She got really worried and asked if she did something wrong, but I wasn't upset or anything. I just didn't know what it was at the time.

Yes. Someone is cute if they are pleasant to behold and if looking at them makes you happy. ...At least, that's how I think of it.

I think it might be better if she stays at home. There are people who need her.
