You would not believe how little support I got for my independence. My sister was useless because I didn't want a war, Australia thought I was crazy, and England didn't want to hear any of it.

It's just how I am. How all of my kind are. We're... the best way I've ever found to describe it is that we're spirits. There's a part of us that's very human and our own, but our health and our continued existence depends on our politics and our people and our land.
