[Claire's face appears a bit too close to the mirror, and slightly shadowed, as if she were leaning over it before it appeared. She pulls back, a little startled.]

Oh! There we go.

[she seems to be standing with a multitude of flowers at her back, recognizable to those who've seen it as the memorial garden Epsilon made. There are several docile robots milling about, and she doesn't seem bothered by their presence in the least.]

Excuse me. Whoever might be watching--residents of the Gardens, I suppose. I apologize for the misunderstanding upon my arrival. All of this is very new to me, so I appreciate your patience.

[she's still in her white arrival's dress, and her blue curls are down around her shoulders. In her arms is a vast expanse of satiny cloth that must be a dress. Earrings, crown, and veil are placed carefully on top of it, and she's holding it above the ground as best she can.]

I noticed there are plenty of houses around, but I wouldn't want to intrude without asking. I believe I'm going to be needing a place to stay, however...I can cook and clean, and I know how to garden and do various other chores. I promise I won't get in the way.


[tl;dr does anyone need a...kitty...waifu. Technically she's 17, so mind out of the gutter, please. XD]

That's no good! You've got to look after yourself by eating properly. I can teach you how to cook.

Teach me? [Reno doesn't like this idea. Domestic tasks make her break out in hives, or very nearly.] I don't know about that.

Why do I need to cook if somebody else can do it for me?

[a playful, almost singsong tone enters her voice for a moment.]

That sounds an awful lot like laziness~

With that attitude, it might be a little difficult to find someone you can rely on.

Oh Kitty, Kitty. Little Kitty-cat. I'm the hardest working woman in Midgar--or Edge--but when I'm off duty, I don't do shit. That's why I need someone else to do my cooking for me.

Also, I hate cooking. Where I'm from, I can buy food. Already made. Like fried potatoes and fried meat and fried--everything.

[her smile never falters.]

A difficult job? Maybe I've misjudged you, then. I'm sorry.

Food, already prepared? Back home, we made everything...but I suppose things are different in the city.

You shouldn't go judging people like that, Kitty. [Though her tone is only teasingly chiding. And she judges people all the time.]

I work for the president--he's more or less the ruler of the world. So I protect him, and I protect all the people of the city. [Hey, those are the Director's orders. The past two years make her look like a real public servant.]

But yeah, I live in a city, and I buy all my food, support the local economy.

[A knight? No one's ever suggested anything of the kind to her, but she's amused enough by the idea that she decides to roll with it.]

Yeah, like that. We rescue damsels, slay monsters, go on quests, all that kind of thing. [All technically true. Sort of.]
