five. [video]
[ Caprica is sitting on the couch in Gaius's living room — her living room, now, more or less, even if she still has difficulty acknowledging it. She's turned one of the table lamps on and tucked herself into the corner of the couch, dressed in a satiny nightgown and a loose robe, legs drawn up under her, a cup of hot tea between her hands. For a little while she seems to be staring off at nothing, unaware that a tendril of the Vine has crept up near her, the mirror unfurling close by; and then she seems to catch the movement out of the corner of her eye, and turns toward it. Her eyes are tired, haunted, despite herself.
She reaches out one hand to the mirror, intending to dismiss it with a gesture. After a moment, however, she lets her hand drop. Caprica pauses a moment, looking rather uncertain, before she speaks. ]
What do you do when you can't sleep?
[ Not that Caprica physically needs to sleep, but the question is pertinent all the same. ]
[ OOC: Almost directly after this. Feel free to try to make her feel better, or just talk to her, whatever. I couldn't not post something. ]

[ Her voice isn't abrupt, but there is genuine confusion. Caprica has no idea what a 'Pokemon' is. ]
Re: [Voice]
[She sounds more bored than ashamed, though.]
Pokemon. Pocket monsters. Consider them to be animals of immense power and you're on the right track. It's a tad difficult to explain to someone who hasn't grown up with the concept.
[Voice]
[ She... doesn't, really, but that's a feeling she's gotten used to in the Gardens. Animals in her world are just animals, nothing more. ]
Are they... pets?
[ 'Animals of immense power' don't sound like things you would keep as pets, but she doesn't have a better word. ]
