[So, here's Sol, fresh out of the Labyrinth. Physically, she looks perfectly fine. Her expression, on the other hand, is a mixture of distress and rage, and her hands at her sides are balled into fists and trembling. Clearly, she ran into something there that has left her more than a little shaken.]

[She doesn't seem to be aware that the Vine is broadcasting. For a long time, she doesn't speak or move at all but for the shaking of her hands. Then, abruptly, she hauls back and punches the nearest tree.]

[It's obvious that's a lie from the slight quiver in her voice, but that's the answer she'll be sticking with.]

I have this friend at home, Cuba, and whenever she looks like she wants to punch something we just haul out the ice cream and try to ignore the fact that everything sucks. It tends to work, if only for a little while.

But that's more formal military. It's been a bit since I did much hand to hand, but I've rough-housed around enough in my day.

I'm a country. Though I did lead one campaign, against my sister, ages ago. And I hung around headquarters in the first World War a lot.

[For a few seconds, Sol just stares, her expression completely blank. And then, flatly:] A country.

[Sol just keeps staring. She's not sure if she believes it, but that seems like a pretty weird thing to lie about, if she is lying. Something too outlandish to anything but true, perhaps.]

It's just how I am. How I've been for... something between five hundred and a thousand years, depending on who you ask. I don't really remember.

There's all sorts of my kind, back in my world. Actually, there's a handful of my kind here, too.

[She's obviously still skeptical, but she'll just go with it until something proves otherwise.]
