[The mirrors on the vine activate to show a young woman in the generic white dress, standing in the patch of flowers she apparently arrived in. She looks more irritated to be here than surprised or confused. She tilts it this way and that, then nods in a satisfied manner.]
I thought so.
[She looks down, skimming over the scroll again before handing it offscreen. Something with a yellow paw takes it. She looks back at the mirror, brushing a flower out of her hair, then crosses her arms.]
I am not speaking to an animal of any kind about this. I am Sabrina, Saffron City's Gym Leader.
[She speaks as if that's supposed to mean something to people. It should, at least.]
I'm not in the habit of accepting protection from strangers. Nor am I in the habit of accepting orders to help strangers build things, or become 'one of them'. What I want is an explanation of just what you think you're trying to accomplish. If you don't think you want to explain, then I'll just have to tear this place apart until you decide to face me.
[A number of small, blue and white balls float around her. Each one has a pair of red stripes, and small monsters can be seen moving inside each one.]
I trust that I'm understood.

Re: [video]
[Wow. That is one... Decidedly chilly greeting. Maybe Sabrina should have become an ice-type trainer.]
If I wasn't here, then I'd hardly be in a position to make threats, would I? Though it's odd...
[She frowns a little, leaning in to inspect the picture in the mirror.]
I hadn't heard of you vanishing. And this kind of thing isn't your style. Don't tell me we've both been kidnapped?
no subject
That's weird, I was brought here a couple of days ago. Maybe the news just hasn't reached Saffron City yet?
Anyway, yeah, we've both been kidnapped. I've been told by everyone trapped here so far that there's no way out.
no subject
[That would explain that, at least. She looks offscreen for a moment.]
Kadabra, go up and look around.
[Sabrina looks back at Misty, cocking her head to the side a little.]
I suspect it's less 'there's no way out' and more 'we haven't figured out a way out'. There's no such thing as a place that's escape-proof.
no subject
[What she's not worried, nope.]
... Right. I don't know anything about magic, so I can't really help with that unless we find the Queen.
Is there anything you need me to tell you about?
no subject
[News to her.]
No one knows who the Queen of Hearts is. How convenient.
[She rolls her eyes before looking offscreen at something. Likely Kadabra. The great balls are still floating around her.]
You've been here a few days now, yes? Tell me everything you know.
no subject
[Nods at that part.]
Okay. It's called the Gardens, and only girls are brought here for some reason. They can come from any different number of worlds, and most of them don't know what Pokémon are. There's places to stay at something called "the Necessities" here, and food is available at an orchard.
I can tell you, also, that there were apparently monster flowers that attacked everyone here a couple of weeks ago.
no subject
[Sabrina had thought that someone would have told her about things like that. Nothing to be done for it now, she supposes. As Misty speaks, she looks up at the sky again, fiddling with her hair. When she winds down, Sabrina looks back at her.]
...And that's it? There must be more to it than that.
Like as not, it was just a bunch of grass-types and they blew things out of proportion.
no subject
That's true, but I'm just going by what they told me so far. All I got were that people were hurt.
no subject
Go back to what you said a minute ago. No one knows what Pokemon are?
[That's a special kind of backwater right there.]

[Her tone has turned dull, like she can't quite believe what she's hearing. Nevermind that people don't know about Pokemon, there's nothing more to be said there. But this...]
Misty, I know you're attached to the Kanto Champion, but that's no excuse to ignore the ones from other regions.
no subject
Is Cynthia a champion of a region? She seemed like the type.
no subject
[Misty's playing with her. She's got to be. Sabrina's eyes narrow, she doesn't appreciate that.]
...Yes, she is.
no subject
[This is really getting confusing to her. She doesn't know Sabrina that well, but she knows that she was kind of happy once.]
What region? Hoenn, Johto, Sinnoh, Unova, or any of the others?

It was a long time, but you should at least remember Ash! He's the one that gave Haunter to you!
no subject
[With a mental order, her Kadabra returns and she sits on it, stroking her chin as she thinks. Even though she's looking at Misty, she's not really looking at her.]
This is odd. Why would our memories not match up? Tell me, what do you remember about this Ash of yours?
no subject
[Pauses for a moment, collecting an answer.]
Ash is a really stubborn trainer. I traveled a lot with him, along with Brock. He's doesn't think before he does things most of the time, and he's reckless too.
He's trustworthy though, and he really cares about Pokémon. Pikachu and him are inseparable.
no subject
...You and Brock left your gyms to go traveling with him?
[Sabrina shakes her head slowly. The very idea...]
Red is one of Professor Oak's original three Pokedex holders, from Pallet Town. He tends to favor his pikachu, Pika. After demolishing Team Rocket, he won the Pokemon League, helped defeat the Elite Four, and then went on to destroy Team Rocket again when they tried to return. These are things everyone knows.
As I recall, during the Kanto/Johto Gym Battle in the last Pokemon League, you were most concerned about him.
Something is very odd here, if our memories are that different.
no subject
... I really haven't heard of him. This is ridiculously strange. Why don't we remember things the same way?
no subject
We need to gather any other trainers and speak of this. If we're remembering things so differently, who knows what they remember?
no subject
That's probably a good idea. We need to get to the bottom of this.
no subject
I'll put out a call for everyone on this... Vine. Where should we meet? You know the area better than I do.
no subject
How about at the Library? It seems like it would be appropriate for what we're doing.
no subject
I'll send a text along this Vine, then. I'll find my way there easily enough.
