_{[Nausicaä stands atop one of the taller pieces of ruins, one leg up as she peers away from the mirror. A breeze whips at her flying jacket, the dark blue cloth rippling around her legs. She finally turns back to the mirror, looking thoughtful.]}

These ruins... they remind me of some of the ones back home; the cities and towns that were swallowed by the Sea of Corruption. Except here there's no miasma. No spores. I wonder what happened...?

_{[She pauses and shrugs.]}

At least we're not going to starve to death anytime soon. But still....

A lot of failures, obviously. They probably didn't even have steel. [Breaking rocks some more]

As you can see their empire has fallen into shambled ruin.

We don't know if was an empire or just a village or a city. And all things fall in time. It's the way of the world.

Not if properly maintained. And such a shame it wasn't. I'm sure that it could have been beautiful if taken care of.

Even if something is properly maintained, eventually it fails or gets absorbed into something else. It's a part of life.

Hmph. Many structures have long endured the test of time.

These did not. That's all there is to it.
