[Estelle is curled up under a spray of colorful wildflowers, looking rather colorful herself. Her cheeks are pinker than her hair at the moment.]

Did I ask for the mirror? I thought I just wanted to speak with people...I don't have to see them! Really, it's not necessary. Even though everyone's so pretty--I'm fine! I don't--I don't want--I want--

[She shoves her knuckles in her mouth and bites down for a moment, flushing a deeper red as she does. After a minute, she straightens up again and looks into the mirror determinedly.]

I'm going to make a story! About a princess who was cursed with terrible burning feelings th-that weren't...really so terrible...but very warm...but overcame them with help from her friends!

There aren't any like it in the library. I checked, and...I kept looking at other stories instead, and I had to leave...

There were some stories and poems with love that wasn't just between a man and a woman, but I always thought that was just pretend!

[She looks down.]

The reality is, I'll probably marry a nobleman's son with relatives in one of the top guilds, to help maintain good relations with the rest of the nobility and the guilds. That's what I was told. So I shouldn't get worked up about anyone here.

[That does get a chuckle, but she catches herself before she really starts to laugh.] Believe me, it's not pretend. Might crop up a little less than your standard love story, but it happens. This place in particular seems to encourage it. Nothing wrong with it, it's just a little different.

[Hmm. She crouches down, peeks into the Mirror.] And is that something you wanna do? Getting married off, I mean.

[Azula is in the general vicinity of Estelle, enough so to get the tone of the girl's voice but not the actual content of the conversation with the mirror; she eventually comes over to speak.]

Are you feeling well, Estelle? You don't sound very well.

[Estelle springs to her feet and nearly jumps at Azula's approach--oh, okay, at least it's Azula, the strange feelings aren't so bad around younger girls...mostly...maybe...

She crosses her arms and makes a determined face.]

I sound fine!

[She crosses her own arms and raises an eyebrow at the other princess.]

[After the incident with the flowers, Azula refrained from eating any chocolates.]

Y'know, I've spent the last couple of days feeling like I'm rolling around in hot coals, about to jump the first warm body I come across. You know how that feels? Totally uncomfortable, right? I think I've earned the right to say inappropriate things by this point, and you are pulling off the raging-hormone look adorably.

The best place to start is with blank paper and pen, to let the words flow out from you as you go along. Write whatever comes to mind, even if it doesn't seem to make sense. You can begin to see the story take shape from what ideas want to be in it.
