A lot of you are talking about the flowers and their 'sacrifice' or whatever, but... I think we need to start thinking about something else that's a little more important, since working on a way to escape doesn't seem to be working out so well right now.

Specifically: Security.

Before anybody gets any bright ideas of nominating me the leader just because I brought it up... no. Don't pick me. I'm no good at that kind of thing.

So, does somebody out there already have a defense force set up, or does anybody out there want to organize something?

But I'm not just going to take orders from anybody. If you don't know what you're doing, I'll find somebody else.

Er... I'm not really the monster expert, but I think we've dealt with something like the former a few times? Nothing like the latter, though.

Never really left the island since I got sent there, so the people around generally already knew about it.

The people outside would probably think we're nuts if we talked about dragons or ghosts.

... weird as it sounds, though, I actually felt like I was doing something with myself for once. Never would've thought kyudo* would've come in handy like that.

Yeah, terrifyingness aside, it was pretty fulfilling. And watching too many detective shows and that one action movie with the vampires* was surprisingly helpful.

That whole debacle lasted about a year. Then I left and wound up in this place.

The island's been having problems before I even knew of it, but the student president got me involved about two years before I ended up here... and we still didn't know how to make it stop by that point.

*sigh* I hope they're holding out fine without me.
