Hassha, Phoenix Dragon Warrior! Protect the dreams of the young maidens!
Look, up in the sky!
It's a bird!
It's a plane!
It's... wait, it is a plane. A sleek fighter jet, in red with gold trim, skimming the treetops at the gardens. Those of you with astral or magical sight can see a thin silver cord unspooling from the back, connecting back to Creche Alpha.
On the nose of the thing, is what appears to be a small camera on a turret. It swivels towards one of the roses and -
The plane morphs, into a chicken-legged form, hovering above one of the vampire roses, trying to melt it with the backwash of it's engines. When that doesn't work, she draws what appeared to be an underslung cannon but is, in fact, a katana with an elaborate manji hiltguard, and slashes it in half.
Then the lens on the 'camera' glows, and the wounded, screeching monster catches on fire.

um... however anchors communicate with pilots:
A headset. Made with strands of Vine, here, I think.
Everything seems to be checking out fine - keep an eye on the damage readouts, though. And if I'm a crab at you, well, you'll know the reason why and I apologize in advance.
[Vine headset thingie]
Anyway, um... damage readouts seem fine. Using a giant robot against man-sized plants is kind of an unfair advantage, so uh... you'll only take damage if you charge too recklessly.
Re: [Vine headset thingie]
This is much different than the anime, but if you think you can handle it, the only way to disabuse you of that notion is to let you try.

And Anna's voice says through the helmet:] And stay dead.

I never thought I would ever see one.

But it's certainly more than an inanimate replica.

"If you can point me towards more enemies, please do."

I think there are some over there. [She points]

[A second later, the eyes on the helm flare, then subside]
So there are. I detect three Gold Pattern bandits, probably our mandrakes. Thanks for the assist, madam - but I've got plants to burn.
(And she's liek zoom, jumping up and folding into the jet before screaming off in the direction you indicated.)

Take off, Miss Lin. For great justice.

[Said with irony instead of sarcasm.]

[Souji heads over to investigate the strange...robot, unaware that any such thing existed here. Her own sword and magic are ready to finish off that flower monster if the heat ray hadn't.]

The thing circles around and morphs into a more humanoid form, the laser turret rolling up to the belly. It holds up the katana in a defensive stance.
"This place is not safe for unempowered civilians," Anna's voice says, booming from a speaker in the helm.

[She also gestures with her own katana, not that that seemed to be quite as effective.]

[she scrambles down, running over to stand and stare up at it.]
That was amazing!

...Anna!?
This is your weapon? It's...big.
[then she remembers the question.]
I...I fought one. I think its gone for good, but I'm not sure. One of my friends got attacked...

Did you use fire or chemicals to destroy it?
