Hello, everyone--now that things have settled down again, I'd like to extend an invitation. But first...has anyone seen Miss Canada lately? We agreed to do this together, but I haven't been able to get in touch with her.

Some time ago she made an ice skating rink, and it would be nice to all skate together before it gets warm again, don't you think? I've made some refreshments, too.

Let's just say it's a thing. All skating together... Next you're going to start a sewing circle or a scrapbooking club or something.

Sewing is a useful skill--how else do you think clothes are made? So if you have to do it, it's more fun not to do it alone. But what's "scrapbooking"?

[she tilts her head, pulling a lock of hair over her shoulder and looking at it. Reno's implication completely misses her...]

Clothes are made by the kind of people who make clothes. [Meaning, not her.] And they use machines to do it.

Scrapbooking is when people glue things in a book to remember them because they have nothing better to do with their lives.

No, I mean, does the carpet match the drapes?

Machines, really? Your world is amazing...but we're not near the city, so we have to make our own clothes back home. Sometimes merchants will bring them, but they're much more expensive than just buying the cloth and doing it yourself.

A book full of memories...that doesn't sound so bad.

My world is pretty amazing, when it's not getting blown up. [Mainly because she is in it.] But yes, they only do that kind of thing out in the sticks.

Yeah, like I thought, you'd love scrapbooking. It probably involves flowers. And-- [This is outside of Reno's experience.] Ribbons.

[ribbons and flowers do sound nice, but...yeah, that finally sank in, and she turns red.]

Maybe I want to know how complete these curses are. So I'm researching them.
