♕1st Experiement [Action]

[Bonnibel had been walking for some time now. The sun was high and warm in the sky when she had started out, and now it had just slipped past the horizon. Her legs and feet were sore hours ago, and now she was also starting to get hungry.]

"Ugh, what the cabbage is even going on here?"

[Here we go again, another day, another kidnapping. In the past she would have handled these sorts of things with calm grace and dignity, but not today. It wasn't that long ago that Bonnibel spent a month or more pasted to a sistern wall by deer saliva, and her patience was already thin. She yelled some obscenities and kicked a rock with her right foot, hard, and then winced. Her toes took it worse than the rock did, but that was all part of the catharsis, or something. Grumbling loudly, she sat down and clutched her head in her hands, rubbing at her temples.]

"You kept me waiting long enough last time Finn and Jake, when the lettuce are you going to turnipping show up?!"

Fionna nodded. She really hated getting her female compatriots feeling awkward, but that was really something she wanted to keep to herself for the moment. Her feelings on the matter were constantly in flux, and she hated keeping it, but she needed to think about that a little more.

She chewed her food a bit more, but once it was announced that everyone was going to try and get some sleep, she was more than happy to just finally sleep. These guys...they were friends, and she cared about them.

"Sure," she said, and then hugged her and the other girls. At least she wouldn't sleep alone.

She looked over at Marceline. "All of us in the same thing?"

Sleep not only meant letting their bodies rest, it also meant a good rest for their minds and hearts. The day had been emotional on so many levels that if any one of them wasn't drained it was a miracle! Marcy was super ready to put everything to rest, for now.

With all that had come to light about Bonni (and herself) it felt strange to see the darkness that lurked just under the surface with Fionna. It wasn't the time or the place to get into it, but Marceline couldn't help but think about it while she took to cleaning up after herself. Just how was it that someone could go from happy-go-lucky to almost depressed in a matter of seconds? The answer was simple yet complicated for the sheer amount of unknown details: It was The Ice Queen. While Fionna finished up her food Marcy dug a hole in the ground, a place for them to toss their food scraps and junk.

"I don't mean to be a total kill joy," Said while she was busy hugging her two favorite people back, giving them the best squeeze that she could manage. "-but we have a walk that is glob knows how long to do in the morning." Alone? That was a thing that would, from here on out, be voluntary. Neither girl had to face things alone unless they really wanted to.

Kicking some dirt onto the pit, due to knowing about the wild bears, Marcy looked back at Fionna with a nod of her head. "Sorry dude, they only dropped one tent." She glanced in the tents direction, not seeming too worried about the arrangement. "But there are three sleeping bags, three pillows and a pretty heavy looking blanket we can share." She winked, "First person in there gets dibs!" Of course she was planning to be last. That way she could clean up the camp site and feed the fire just enough so that it provided some heat to them while they slept.

Fionna looked at Marceline, grinning sheepishly.

"I guess its my turn next. Um, you really don't need to feel bad about the whole Ice Queen thing man: its my own biz to deal with, and a real hero won't let that stuff get to her. I promise you, I'll let you guys know about it when I get the chance, ok? I know its sorta early to say it, but I really trust ya both to give me good advice about what to do. Good night man."

And because there was also another quiet understanding between Fionna and Marceline, she went into the sleeping bag next to Princess Bubblegum so the remaining sleeping bag would be the one right next to her. She changed, throwing her clothes in a heap in the corner, then reached over and gave Bubblegum a hug.

"Thanks for everything today PB," she said, right before she curled up and closed her eyes.

(The End)

It was time. Actually it was well beyond time, they should have been down some hours ago. With any luck it wasn't nearly as late as it felt, the night middle aged with some life left to it. Between the three of them there was no energy left, even Marceline was so tired that her body ached and throbbed. However, she would hang in there just long enough to be sure that Fionna and Bonnibel were tucked snug in their beds.

Bonni was first, as a Princess was one to do. Marcy waved meekly, a small smile on her face, always too amused when PB slipped into that super weird language. She felt sorry for Bonni, but not in a pittying way. Just how much did the Bubblegum Princess have on her shoulders before she ended up here? Just how much more did being here add? Drawn out of her jumbled thoughts, she turned to Fionna. "Yeah," Her voice was quiet, the words drawn through the same small smile. "--I won't feel bad if you don't." She very much meant that, it could be water under the bridge at Fionna's request. "I trust you too, Fionna." Not too soon at all, there was just something, a pull that made putting trust and faith in Fionna feel right. "We can talk about that stuff whenevs," She started to clean up the small grounds around their tent, she wasn't done yet. Not before she was able to say, "Sleep tight you two!" Just loud enough to be heard.

It only was another ten minutes; however it felt like hours. Marceline packed up what was still of use, discarded what wasn't and did what she could to make the area safe. After that was done, and both Fi and PB were out for the night, she crawled into the tent and settled down into her own little spot.
