011 Sister [video]
[The Vine opens on a setting that is uncharacteristic of the Gardens. It appears to be a dimly lit laboratory. The walls are pale gray, with dark screens that flicker with green, displaying data that may or may not be meaningless. There is a low humming, from the lights or machinery. In the background, there is another sound--faint, but sharper and more disturbing: that of someone screaming.
The Vine is not here by accident or by its own design. It has been summoned by its friend Sephiroth, and it displays her helpfully, on command. In the gloom, the woman seems paler, and her glowing eyes brighter.]
A person has arrived here who has some connection with me. I have temporarily detained her, as it seemed likely she might be a danger to herself or the others here. I will release her as soon as I am satisfied that she is not.
[Yet this is not a purely informative transmission. There is another reason for it.] If there is anyone present who has experience in dealing with the mentally disturbed, I would appreciate your assistance.

[She leaves the mirror, goes to find one of the cats to show her the way.]

[She does not mind leaving Kadaj alone for a little while to wait for Fela. She has stayed with Kadaj since bringing her to her headquarters, but it is good to be outside again and away from her--although at the same time, she wishes to return to her. It is an odd feeling.
The day is pleasant, and the robot Faremis that tends to follow her through the Gardens waits with her.]
no subject
You've not been waiting long?
[Pleasantry, perhaps, but Fela had a very poor sense of time, for obvious reasons.]
no subject
Not long.
[She does not know what Kadaj will make of Fela, and she feels slightly apprehensive, remembering Kadaj's threats to kill everyone. Sephiroth, of course, would not allow that to happen, but--she does not want to distress Kadaj further. Yet she must try something. She opens the door, gesturing for Fela to enter the lobby.]
She is unquestionably dangerous, but I can assure you that you will not be harmed.
no subject
Then I will rely on you.
[Fela agrees with her simply. While she was nearly invincible within the dreaming, she was only flesh and bone in the waking world.]
no subject
I'm not sure if she dreams. She doesn't need food, and she doesn't seem to sleep, though I have put her to sleep a few times.
no subject
Lack of sleep can cause devastation in many ways.
[She means in more than just a physical sense, she has been in the Garden a long time now and the concept of creatures that do not need sleep is not foreign to her, but resting the mind could be accomplished in other ways, allowing time for emotion and thought to seep into the heart and the soul was important.]

[There are few actual floors, so the elevator does not take long to rise. The doors opens onto sterile, pale gray surfaces and dim, greenish light. It is impossible to hear sounds on any floor from the other floors, but as Sephiroth steps forward, she can hear Kadaj. The woman calls her name, as if she sensed her return. The voice echoes oddly, sounds barely human.]

I will see what I can divine from her.
[Fela follows along to the captive, unafraid, even in this eerie place, even approaching this dangerous creature.]
no subject
Hello, Kadaj. I've brought someone to meet you. This is Fela.
[[OOC: I'll let Kadaj know about tagging in!]]
no subject
Hello, Kadaj.
[There is no reason to be anything less than pleasant.]
no subject
You brought this human here, for what purpose-- are you so weak? Are you afraid to face me? No, you're so young. I'm the elder here.
[Then Kadaj does focus on the woman outside the partition. She smiles, but there is nothing open about it.]
Your name means nothing to me, human. Knowing mine gives you no power over me.
no subject
No, my love, knowing it only gives me something to call you by.
[She smiles sadly, turning for a place to set her purse down onto, reaching into it for the package of sonando. It will not take her long to prepare.]
no subject
[She asks Fela, a little concerned:] Do you need to make physical contact?
no subject
I do not. It would be easier, but... [She trails off as her heart begins to beat more quietly, lights exploding into life around her. She closes her eyes, but that does not help, the energies on the world still blossoming. She inhales deeply and steps forward, placing her hand up, fingers spread.]
No... And you will sleep now, Kadaj...
[Her voices goes soft and warm, almost musical. With a fresh dosing of sonando in her skin, there is little she cannot do in the dreaming, even drag sleeping minds below with her.]
no subject
But you are harming me, you always harm me-- now you bring a human to try to harm me, Sephiroth! As if human magic could touch me-- you can't touch me--
[She was going to say things. Not to the human woman (their little rituals and fearful magics and charms against sufferings they could not avoid, so foolish, needless) but to Sephiroth-- how dare you what do you hope to accomplish I am not... I am...
Then she hadn't said anything at all. Smothered. Sleeping, thoughts like echoes surround her. Dreaming her dreams, which are also Sephrioth's dreams which are Mother's dreams, floating in the cold dark of space like a little craft on the breast of the ocean.]
no subject
[Sephiroth keeps her gaze on Kadaj as she speaks, then comes to earth, then rests her head and closes her eyes--
Sephiroth's own eyelids flutter briefly as a shudder goes through her, and she takes one step forward, then no more. She stands still, staring down at Kadaj as if Fela is not there.
