We could make a jungle gym for you to climb on. [She looks a bit worried as Laura trails off, but smiles again quickly enough as Laura asks about the Pokémon.]

Those are Pokémon. They're animals that live in this area. They're quite friendly and intelligent. They're not exactly pets, but you can play with them, if you'd like.
