It's a subject that I like. In my world, we have myths, legends, and tales that involve different types of magic. But according to what I've read, you can separate them into two classes. One is stuff we can do with ETHER or something similar in the current day. The other are things that seem to break the rules of magic. It's debatable whether these things are some lost art, or if perhaps the accounts have been exaggerated to extremes.
Yes, even in my own world, there are many different kinds of magic. Even with ETHER, there are so many spells and type-combination you can do. And people will often weave variants on spells to suit themselves, or invent new spells altogether, so things can get really complex. I couldn't control the magic I was born with, which is how I got into studying it. Before I knew it, I was coming up with some great stuff just by trial and error.
Another nation person...! They are quite fascinating. I don't really grasp how they can be nations and people at the same time, but I want to. It really is interesting.
