Beginning. )

(A woman of something below middle-age appears in view. She has a olive complexion and wears a plain white dress shirt with the collar open. Her dark hair is held back in a simple, low ponytail. At first she sounds distracted, as though she's talking to herself, which she is.)

Haha, is this thing on? Well, even if it were, I wouldn't know how it came to be on. Looks about as likely as anything else, really-- and it's not as if I'm above taking instruction from a cat, after all. All right, here goes.
Ah, for anyone who might be listening, I'm Reeve Tuesti, of Shinra. I'm not sure what I'm doing here, or how I came to be here. Or why the communications set-up seems to be cat and plant based, but yes. Here I am, at least for the moment!

(She pauses, sounding a bit more serious.)

Is anyone there?

[A young woman with bright red hair and a rather odd outfit is standing before the vine, looking into the mirror with a friendly smile, though it's possible to see she’s a little cautiously apprehensive about this whole situation.

Of course, she also doesn't seem to mind the five songbirds sitting on her head and shoulders, casually playing with her hair

Hello there, I'm Skyla, the Leader of Mistralton City's Pokémon Gym. I thought this might be a good time to formally introduce myself, and my little friends here seem to think that this is a good way to do it. I have to admit, I've flown all over the world, but I've never been anywhere like this garden, so I'm hoping someone could tell me a little more about where I am, and how I can get back in the air.

[ 1 - Action - The Arena ]

[ As always, the sun is shining. The Arena is, as always, well-stocked with all the many foods the Queen provides. You and anyone else making use of the facilities' foods and equipment may notice an enormous shadow blocking out that warm sun. If you look up, you will notice a fierce red, white, and blue eagle with the wingspan of a small plane flying overhead; just as quickly as you may notice it, it dives into the Arena and with no effort grasps one entire bison carcass and carries it away.

Hopefully you weren't planning on having any of those burgers. ]

[ 2 - Action - The Orchard ]

[ The sun shining can be a pain sometimes, so the forest is nice. The Orchard, with its game birds, is a very nice place to be, whether you want to relax with nature or seek out those animals for food. You see a quail, sitting happily and--

What was that blue blur?

The quail is gone. A blue flash followed by a sonic wave distracts you and...it's gone. The bird is gone. This happens several times: one of the game birds will be obliviously living out its game bird day, only to suddenly disappear.

No, seriously. What the Hell was that blue blur? ]

[ 3 - Action - The Lake ]

[ Ah, the lake. Another place for food and relaxation. You may notice a an out-of-place game bird or another animal allowed for hunting wandering near the edge of the lake; turn away for a moment and look back and...it's gone. There is a loud splash, as if it was dragged into the lake, but what could have done that?

Now, if you are fishing. Congratulations on reeling in that big fish! As you look at it still hanging from your rod, a long, blue, slimy, clawed tentacle of some beast reaches from the water, grabs your fish, crushes it, and pulls it back into the water. ]

[On screen we have a rather ragged and irritated-looking Austria. She's breathing heavily and glaring at the screen.]

I have found my way out of the Labyrinth. No thanks to any of those that coerced me into coming along.
