Just in case anyone needs to know, I've got this ring of torches in the gardens. Y'know, if you need a break from the murderplants.

If anyone has lighter fluid or like rags or something, I'd really appreciate a donation. I'm not really wanting to brave the thorny deathtraps and my supplies are kind of running low.

(ugh, this is such bullshit.)

[ as someone who isn't used to long-distance communication more complex than shouting really, really loudly, Reis is treating the mirror with some degree of scepticism. Feeling that she may well have gone insane, she's dealing with this in the most obvious way—by alternating between talking to herself and the cat next to her ]

Alright? Little Moggy here says I can talk to people through this thing. How's it work, then? Magic? [ she grabs the mirror by its edges, tapping the sides, and raps her knuckles against the front ] I don't reckon anyone's gonna be crushed up inside, but I've been wrong before.

It'd be ace if I could get an explanation, starting with what the deal with all this land is. Got places to be, mouths to feed, and—[ she pauses, glance at her feet, and stamps down hard a few times. All of the sudden, a rather trampled flower leaps up, latching onto her arm. Reis sighs as the cat scrams away, and punches the flower hard enough to knock it back; it doesn't seem to have done any damage to her ]

Oh, and this chap's been around for a while. Hungry little fella. Whoever's looking after your crops needs to take a time out or something, 'cause this ain't on.

Killer flowers, crawling around... didn't think they would do that. So far it seems like those of less color have gone feral. Mine has yet to do so, but perhaps it is just a delayed effect. If the situation get's out of control, I can easily rush back inside my house. But for now, this table barrier should suffice.

This will take some time. Is everyone else doing okay?

[For those in the area, it really must be strange to see someone outside, hiding behind a table on it's side, staring down a harmless large flower with suspicion.]

[ video ]

[For those who have seen her before, the woman in the mirror is unmistakably the Queen. For once, though, she's not in a blank black setting, but standing in the Gardens themselves, furiously shaking a giant rose with her bare hands.]

This won't do! This won't do at all!

[She swats the rose, hard, then, while it's reeling, turns to the mirror.]

My darlings, I think I might have made a mistake...the roses were meant to be a present! A gift! Something to make you all warm and happy and at home. I thought everyone would enjoy taking care of them...

[She looks positively crestfallen. The rose starts to writhe again in her hands. She shakes it.]

Well, it's time to set my mistakes straight. The roses belong to all of you now, so I can't simply destroy them. Oh, no, that's not how my world works. It's your world too, you know! But I'll make them easier to find, so they can't sneak up on any of you unawares. I am putting a curse on these wild creatures! From today forward, wherever they go, they will sing.

Won't that be lovely?

[She hurls the flower off into the distance, but before communication shuts off, the faint strains of a serenade can be heard...]

[OOC: From now until the end of the plot, the rampaging roses will be singing love songs at all times.]
