[In some little corner of the gardens there is one, Himura Kenshin, sitting about, soaking wet and scuffed up in nothing but breast bindings and fundoshi. Her clothes are draped over a make-shift stand made out of found sticks and she's doing her best to get a small fire started with little success to help dry the clothes faster.]

[Did someone go a little too far into the rapids? Why, yes. She did.]

[She sneezes violently where she's sitting cross-legged in front of the small make-shift hearth which is significantly lacking fire. It would help if her flint and everything else hadn't gotten completely soaked. Groaning after another few seconds she finally gives up on the endeavor and drops her head into one hand in irritation, resigning herself to just air drying.]

[She gives a snort after another minute.]

Who ever would have thought I'd be saved by a wolf...

[ooc; /o/ hope I'm doing this right. Last line is meant as a reference to the Shinsengumi. Insult to injury man...]

A Queen. Her Gardens?

Are we prisoners, guests, friends?

I cannot tell by now. All I know is that I breathe again.

[If anyone was wondering where Brittany had been lately, she had gotten lost. Again. But the Gardens are a nice place to be lost in, and the birds still brought her food when she got hungry, so she hasn't especially been trying to get unlost. Especially not once she found the beach!

Yes, after giving the patrolling wolf a friendly pat on the nose, Brittany had managed to wander off into the dunes. And one might be able to guess where she spent some time beforehand, because now she's riding out of the wild places on a rainbow unicorn (although this unicorn isn't a robot), singing about harmony~ harmony~ oh looooove.

She's been affected by a wildcard of course, but being Brittany, she hasn't really noticed. You might, though, as the closer you get to her and her unicorn, the more the world seems to go all Lisa Frank.]

[She's not paying attention at all at first]

[Hands on her hips] Okay so I'm definitely not in Mexico. Well, I guess I could be, maybe some secret garden hideaway in a hotel, but it's not as... dry as I thought it'd be. Weird. And where's McGee? [Frustrated hand movements] He should be here, especially at a time like this.

Not digging this little white dress. I paid good money for those clothes, so unless I was processing hallucinogens for that symposium and wandered out here... [She spins slowly, finally noticing the little flower that's been staring at her]

Woah! Wicked Fauna Optica going on here... [She tries to poke at it] Hola, como éstas? Uh... Oh maybe there's no audio! [Her hands move dramatically differently than up until now, for those who don't know American Sign Language. She signs out: 'Hello, does anyone sign?']

I think I could get used to this place. Don't you?

Ah...that works better with the video on.

[ video ]

[A goodly-sized chunk of the front of a chimera is held up: a lion's head, with the start of a goat's neck rising up from its back. Blood drips down onto the mirror, helpfully. Teresa's voice comes from off-screen.]

Hmmm.

I wonder if they're edible? I don't think anybody here has had real meat for a while.

Finally, we have a source of entertainment.

Seeing as I am bored and not suicidal, would anyone like the honor of accompanying me on a lovely walk into foreboding caves to do some idle monster-slaying? I would be oh, so lonely if I were to do it alone.

[And I always ensure to have a useful meatshield at the ready.

Being the dainty and refined princess she is, Azula will likely be more than happy to go into the caves multiple times with multiple people to sate her blood-lust and mind-numbing boredom--assuming something terrible doesn't happen, making the caves more trouble than they're worth, anyway.
